Abstract: The invention relates to a tap for use in discharging limited volumes of gas, especially for inflating balloons for children, having a flexible sealing element (38) mounted on a manually actuatable control lever (32) and having two sealing surfaces, each of which cooperates with a tap seat (28,30) formed on the body (12) of the tap (10). One of the seats (28) is adapted to be engaged by an inner sealing surface of the sealing element (38) and the other seat (30) surrounding the first seat (28) cooperating with a second external sealing surface provided on a flexible circumferential lip (38?) of the sealing element (38). The flexible lip (38?) is provided with circumferentially spaced radial slots (39) in the outer edge thereof to limit the gas flow during initial opening movement of the tap (10) in a discharge mode of operation.

Abstract: There is disclosed a check valve for a tap of a gas or a liquefied gas cylinder comprising a valve body member axially movable in a housing bore. The body member has an axial bore opening out through one axial end of the valve body member and being in fluid communication with an annular space surrounding valve body member within the housing bore. The other axial end of the valve body member is closed and carries a primary seal ring gas tightly engaging an inner circumferential surface in the pore in the closed position of the check valve. There is provided a secondary seal ring at the first axial end of the valve body member.

Abstract: A two-way valve is disclosed comprising at least two lateral openings which can be shut off by a piston provided with an axial orifice for the passage of gas, which piston slides axially in the casing between a position in which the openings are shut off under the influence of a spring and an open position counter to the action of the spring under the influence of the pressure of the filling gas, and a level valve activated by a float at the bottom of the casing. In order to prevent pressure from building up inside the casing after closure, the latter is provided with vent orifices. A seal member is arranged on the piston to cover or uncover the vent orifices.
