Abstract: A task comprising at least a first subtask on a computer system is analyzed. As part of the analysis, a profiler controller transmits a first profile instruction to a first profiler instance. The profiler controller transmits a second profile instruction to a second profiler instance. In response to the first profile instruction, the first profiler instances embeds a first task identifier into a first subtask request sent by a first virtual machine. In response to the second profile instruction, the second profiler instance captures the first task identifier from the first subtask request received by a second process virtual machine. The profiler controller identifies an execution instance of the task of the computer system based on the first copy and the second copy of the first task identifier received from the first profiler instance and the second profiler instance, respectively.

Abstract: A cooling fan module for a heat exchanger or the like, has a motor, a fan driven by the motor and a speed controller connected between the motor and a power supply. The speed controller is configured to operate the motor in a high speed mode and a low speed mode. The speed controller includes a high speed branch and a low speed branch connected in parallel. The low speed branch includes a pulse width modulation circuit configured to reduce an average voltage by a fixed duty ratio to achieve a low speed operation of the motor. By eliminating the conventional voltage dropping resistor, the speed controller reduces the power consumption, thus increasing the efficiency of the module, in the low speed mode of operation.

When the first display screen and the second display screen are positioned on a single plane, the first display screen is in close proximity to the second display screen and the first display screen and the second display screen cooperate to form a combined display area larger than the first display screen.

The housing includes a bottom wall, two sidewalls extending from opposite sides of the bottom wall, and two connecting walls. Each of the connecting walls extends from an edge of each sidewall away from the bottom wall and bends towards to the other of the connecting walls. The bottom wall, the sidewalls and the connecting walls cooperatively form a receiving space having at least one opening. The functional module includes a fixing frame positioned adjacent to the bottom wall, a circuit board positioned on the fixing frame, and a display panel positioned on circuit board away from the fixing frame and electrically connected with the circuit board. The fixing frame is capable of being slidably pushed into the housing via the at least one opening together with the circuit board and the display panel.

Abstract: A segmented magneto-conductive structure applied in rotating machines comprises a rotor assembly and a stator assembly. The rotor assembly includes a rotor yoke component and a plurality of rotor teeth components. The rotor yoke component is made of non-oriented silicon steel. The rotor teeth components are made of grain-oriented silicon steel. The stator assembly includes a plurality of stator yoke components and a plurality of stator teeth components. The stator yoke components and the stator teeth components are made of grain-oriented silicon steel. Thereby, an operational efficiency of a motor applying the segmented magneto-conductive structure is enhanced.

Also described are a method and apparatus including recording information of events by the set top box, receiving a state request message via a server, generating a state reply message including the recorded information, transmitting the state reply message via the server, receiving a remote control command via the server and performing an action specified by the remote control command.

Abstract: A testing apparatus for testing a number of different characteristics of a circuit board includes at least two probes, at least one measuring meter, and a storage device. After a circuit schematic diagram of the circuit board and a circuit wiring diagram of the circuit board have been compared, the location of each electric contact is determined. The probes necessary for testing particular characteristics are connected in turn to the measuring meter. The circuit board is moved to align the electric contacts with the probes, and bring the probes into electrical contact with the electric contacts for testing.

Abstract: A battery simulation circuit simulates a rechargeable battery. The battery simulation circuit includes an integrated amplifier, a voltage adjustment unit, a current limitation unit, and a feedback unit. The voltage adjustment unit provides a reference voltage for the integrated amplifier; the current limitation unit provides a reference current for the integrated amplifier and the feedback unit provides a negative feedback signal for the integrated amplifier to control the integrated amplifier working in a linear state. The integrated amplifier outputs an output signal according to the reference voltage and the reference current; the battery simulation circuit supplies power for an electronic device. When the output terminal is connected to a DC power source and a voltage of the DC power source is greater than the output voltage of the output terminal, the battery simulation circuit simulates a battery being recharged by the DC power source via the output terminal.

Abstract: A sensing circuit includes a plurality of sensors, a controller, a multiway switch, a linear optocoupler, and a logical control unit. The plurality of sensors are capable of measuring physical quantity, and each of the plurality of sensors is capable of generating a sensing signal in accordance with the physical quantity. The controller is capable of receiving and analyzing the sensing signals, and transforming the sensing signals into sensing events. The multiway switch is capable of selectively connecting one of the plurality of sensors to the controller. The linear optocoupler is connected between the plurality of sensors and the controller. The logical control unit is capable of controlling the multiway switch to selectively connect one of the plurality of sensors to the optocoupler, and generating a control signal to the controller, wherein the control signal indicating the one of the plurality of sensors connected to the controller.

The power output port connects with an electronic device under test and provides a power supply which in all respects simulates the behavior of a battery being discharged as it supplies working power, the circuit also mimics the behavior of a battery in testing the battery-recharging abilities of the electronic device.

Abstract: A detection circuit includes an amplifier circuit, a rechargeable unit, a first comparator, a second comparator, a reference voltage providing circuit, a first resistor R1, a second resistor R2, and a processing unit. The amplifier circuit is connected to a bridge circuit sensor and amplifies signals output by the bridge circuit sensor to an output voltage Vo. The reference voltage providing circuit provides a reference voltage Vref1. A charge current of the rechargeable unit is (Vref1?V0)/(R1+R2), and a discharge current is (Vref1?VCC)/R1. The processing unit controls the rechargeable unit to be charged for a time period T1 and to be discharged during a time period T2. The processing unit then calculates the output voltage Vo according to an equation: (Vref1?V0)×T1/(R1+R2)=(Vref1?VCC)×T2/R1, and obtains the signals according to the output voltage Vo.

Abstract: An anti-eavesdropping communication system and method are adapted to be applied in a mobile phone. The mobile phone defines a normal call mode and an anti-eavesdropping call mode. When a user of the mobile phone has a phone conversation using an earphone in the anti-eavesdropping call mode, the system plays a preset audio file which is a recording of the voice of the user saying unimportant things. From the position of a bystander, the recording of the voice of the user interferes with the clarity of what the user is actually saying, and prevents people beside the user overhearing or eavesdropping on the actual conversation which is taking place.

Abstract: A hand-driven mechanical screwdriver includes a holding assembly, a drive mechanism supported by the holding assembly, and a working element. The holding assembly includes a bracket and a sliding channel defined in the bracket. The drive mechanism includes a connecting element and a screw rod threadably engaged within the connecting element. An activator is rotatably connected to the connecting element and slidably positioned within the holding assembly bracket sliding channel. The working element is attached to the second end of the screw rod. When the activator is slid along the sliding channel, the connecting element moves from near the second end of the bracket towards the first end of the bracket rotating the threadably engaged screw rod and the working element attached to the screw rod.
