Abstract: A fishing lure comprising a molded weight portion surrounding a hook extending therefrom, a skirt secured to the lure, a sound chamber having a rattle device retained therein, and an elongated flexible stem extending from the sound chamber for securing the chamber to a fishing lure; the sound chamber with the integral stem may be an attachment for existing lures for adding the capability of providing a sound chamber to lures which heretofor were not capable of providing such sound, particularly lures such as jigs and spinnerbaits.

Abstract: A fishing weight comprising a bullet shaped lead body portion having an axial bore therethrough, an enlarged recess formed in one end of the body portion, a flexible, rubbery material substantially filling the recess, a cavity formed in the rubbery material in the recess, the cavity opening into the axial bore and having another opening extending outwardly opposite the axial bore for receiving the eye of a fishhook, the other opening being of a smaller size than the cavity and releasably retaining the fishhook eye therein until a force is exerted upon the fishhook for withdrawing the fishhook therefrom; a fishing lure includig the improved weight; and a method for releasably affixing a fishing weight to the eye of the fishhook.

Abstract: An artificial fishing lure comprising a wire body formed in the shape of a V so as to have first and second arms joined at an apex, the first arm having at least one spinner blade attached near the distal end thereof, a hook connected to the distal end of the second arm, a weight formed about the second arm adjacent the hook, the second arm having a significantly greater diameter than the first arm, a line attaching portion formed in the wire body at the apex and having a diameter approximately equal to the diameter of the second arm, a filamentous skirt secured near the distal end of the second arm in such a manner as to conceal the hook, whereby the spinner blade is capable of generating vibration in the fishing lure without significant dampening of the vibration by the first arm, and the second arm provides greater strength for connecting the line attaching portion and the hook.
