  • Patent number: 9955326
Abstract: Technologies for generating a warning based on environmental conditions sensed in a vehicle include an in-vehicle warning system for determining whether an operator of the vehicle is present, determining whether a non-operator occupant is present in the vehicle, and determining whether environmental conditions sensed within the vehicle satisfy a reference condition threshold. Such technologies may also include performing an emergency action in response to determining that the environmental conditions sensed within the vehicle satisfy the reference condition threshold, determining that the operator of the vehicle is not present, and determining that the non-operator occupant is present in the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9622045
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to computer-implemented systems and methods for managing location profiles for personal area maps. The method may include receiving, from a user, instructions to designate the device as a personal area map (PAM) controller. The method may also include determining a PAM profile associated with the user and identifying one or more objects associated with the PAM profile. Additionally, the method may include determining respective location information associated with the one or more objects. The method may also include generating, based at least in part on the respective location information, a PAM associated with the PAM profile.

  • Patent number: 9031712
Abstract: Certain embodiments herein relate to enabling remote activation of a vehicle's functions or features via multiple networks that may connect the vehicle to a user device operated by a user. A user may utilize the user device to send action codes to a vehicle that, when received and processed by the vehicle, may cause the vehicle to perform one or more functions corresponding to the action codes, in some examples, such functionality may be implemented for stolen vehicle tracking and parental controls. Various devices and/or program code in a vehicle may configured to detect and communicate multiple networks, such as Bluetooth®, a wireless fidelity (WiFi) network, a WiFi Direct network, a cellular network (including third generation and fourth generation), a radio network, a satellite, etc. As described herein, program code may run as firmware and processors and memory devices, for example, may operate out of band.

  • Publication number: 20140087761
Abstract: Described herein are technologies related to personalized communication with a user who is physically located in a designated area for that communication. More particularly, the technology describes detection and identification of a wireless device within the designated area of communication, searching for a corresponding dataset for the identified wireless device, and generating the personalized communication to the user. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Publication number: 20140077944
Abstract: Systems and apparatuses are directed to wireless tag elements each having unique first identifier information and attached to objects to be tracked and wireless sensors arranged to provide corresponding zones of coverage that collectively define an area mapping the location of the objects to be tracked. Each wireless sensor having unique second identifier information and wirelessly transmitting a scanning signal that detects presence of the wireless tag elements, reads the first identifier information of the detected wireless tag elements, and wirelessly transmits the first identifier information along with its second identifier information. A controller wirelessly communicates with the wireless sensors to receive the first and second identifier information.
