  • Publication number: 20190375224
Abstract: In a method for applying distinguishing markings to a marijuana bud, one or more indicia are directly applied to an irregular outer surface of the marijuana bud. The indicia may be applied to the marijuana bud by spraying, stamping or dipping the marijuana bud with a liquid marking composition including a liquid base and a colored substance. In the method, the bud may be moved along a conveyor with a plurality of other buds, and the liquid marking composition is sprayed directly onto the irregular outer surface of the marijuana bud from spray nozzles located above the conveyor. An apparatus for applying indicia to a plurality of marijuana buds includes a conveyor having a plurality of laterally-extending dividers spaced apart along the moving direction. The dividers define a plurality of channels, each having a width sufficient to closely receive a marijuana bud.

  • Publication number: 20180278987
Abstract: A system for displaying commercials while time-shifting media using PVRs is provided. The system has a first processor to detect instructions for time-shifting and to send a signal to a second processor to cause commercials to be displayed in a clearly visible manner. Upon receiving an instruction to resume playback at a regular playback speed, a second signal is sent to stop displaying the commercials and restore regular playback of the media. The commercials may also be displayed taking into account the playback speed. A method for displaying commercials while time-shifting media is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6076708
Abstract: A device for dispensing a pre-determined volume of liquid from a container. The device comprises a pour spout adapted for coupling to the mouth of the container, an inverted cup including an open mouth and a discharge port communicating with the interior of the cup, and a dispensing tube coupling the pour spout to the discharge port. A check valve is provided inside the cup. The container has a bottom which includes a well having a base and a shoulder. The open mouth is adapted for sealing against the shoulder such that the cup, when disposed in the container, defines a measuring reservoir including an inlet port.

  • Patent number: 5323938
Abstract: A dispensing device for dispensing a pre-measured amount of a liquid or a powdered material from a container. The dispensing device fits inside the container and comprises a lower measuring reservoir, a discharge tube, and an upper compartment. The upper compartment couples the device to the mouth of the container and includes a pressure equalizer. The measuring reservoir is suspended inside the container by the discharge tube and upper compartment so that material can move freely around the measuring reservoir. To dispense a pre-measured amount of material, the container is inverted which causes the material to be captured by the measuring reservoir. To facilitate capturing material, the reservoir includes a number of inlet notches. The reservoir also includes an overflow tube. The function of the overflow tube is to meter the amount of material that is captured by releasing any excess which may accumulate when the container is inverted.
