The detachable collar also includes at least one fastener coupled to the collar body. The fasteners may be located at the base and on the back side of the collar body. The fasteners may be configured to engage the permanent collar, or a collarless garment along the neckline. The fasteners may include a pin and a cap. The pin pierces the permanent collar, and the cap in turn engages the pin.
