Abstract: For detecting at least one pulsed light source, light emitted by the pulsed light source being detected by a detector unit, a method includes detecting a first image parameter of the light of the light source using a first exposure time; detecting at least a second image parameter of the light of the light source using an at least second exposure time, the first exposure time and the at least second exposure time being different, and the detector unit being set to a predetermined value between the detection of the first image parameter and the detection of the at least second image parameter, the first image parameter and the at least second image parameter chronologically consecutively representing the same spatial location; and evaluating the at least second image parameter to detect a pulsed light source when at least the at least second image parameter meets a predetermined criterion.

Abstract: A color mask for an image sensor of a vehicle camera has a matrix arrangement made up of first filter pixels and second filter pixels. In every horizontal row and/or every vertical column, first filter pixels and second filter pixels are situated, the first filter pixels and the second filter pixels having different transmission behaviors. The second filter pixels have a more comprehensive transmission behavior, e.g., completely transparent to optical light. The first filter pixels are preferably red.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for the detection of the relative depth of two neighboring regions in relative motion with respect to each other in two images obtained from different shots of a scene, in order to know the composition of the scene. The method consists in carrying out a spatial segmentation of one of the images, called a reference image; a local estimation of the motion between the two images, the resultant vector field of which is called local motion; a determining of the motion estimation errors along the motion boundaries; and an analysis of the localization of the motion estimation errors along the motion boundaries to conclude that a region A is in front of a region B when the motion estimation error along the boundary is chiefly localized on the side B of this boundary.
