  • Publication number: 20120174606
Abstract: A building heat load reduction system is provided having a series of spray nozzles located on a building roof that are connected to a cooling liquid supply. A temperature sensor on the roof is connected to a controller and, depending upon the heat on the roof, supplies liquid coolant to the spray nozzles which sprays the liquid coolant onto the roof. A moisture sensor on the roof or in the roof drain provides a signal to the controller so that once the top of the roof is wet, the sprinkler is shut down so that excess water is not wasted. A liquid coolant/surfactant mixing system is provided which mixes a surfactant with the cooling liquid to provide enhanced cooling. The surfactant causes the liquid coolant being sprayed to have a smaller droplet size which creates a relatively higher specific surface area for the water droplets.

  • Publication number: 20120098493
Abstract: The invention is a a charging station that includes a base having a housing with at least one receptacle that is adapted to be connected to an external power source, with an outer cover being connected to the base and having a holder for one or more devices which need recharging. The cover has a wave-shaped form which holds one or more devices which require charging in one or more wave-like supports on the cover. A slot is provided at the base of each wave-shaped support for receiving the device adapter plug, and a space is defined beneath the outer cover that allows the charger nut connected to the receptacle to be covered by the outer cover when it is in a closed position. A cord organizer is provided with each receptacle so that the excess cord from the charger can be stored in a compact and efficient manner.

  • Publication number: 20080055900
Abstract: Disclosed is a modular light emitting diode (LED) light pod having heat dissipation structures. A reflective optic plate, which may be made in various modular sizes and designs, having a plurality of recesses is seated on an LED board having a plurality of LEDs, such that the plurality of LEDs fit within the plurality optical recesses. The optical recesses serve to collimate light in a desirable manner based on predetermined dimensional ratios of the optical recesses. A heat dissipation system involves a heat sink housing acting in combination with a heat extraction plate having a plurality thermally conductive posts extending perpendicularly from a top and bottom surface, and a heat dissipation plate to create a thermally conductive path for moving heat away from the LED board when the light pod is in use.
