  • Patent number: 10961727
Abstract: An illustrative example embodiment of a concrete form clip includes a body including two ends and a plurality of arms. One of the arms is near each of the ends. The arms are oriented transverse to the body. A plurality of projections extend from the body. Each of the projections is spaced from a respective one of the arms with a spacing between the projection and the respective arm to accommodate a portion of an edge of a form panel. At least one tab on at least one of the arms is transverse to the arm. The tab includes a tool receiving surface that facilitates using a tool to manipulate the clip relative to a form panel, which simplifies the task of removing the clip from the form panel.

  • Patent number: 5921357
Abstract: The present invention provides an electrorheological magnetic (ERM) fluid-based rotary motion damper (12). According to the invention, the ERM fluid-based rotary motion damper (12) generally includes an input shaft (18) coupled to a first damping member (16) and rotatably supporting a second damping member (20). A cylinder (28) coupled about the first damping member (16) rotatably engages a housing (36) circumferentially coupled about the second damping member (20). As such, the cylinder (28) is configured for rotary movement relative to the housing (36). ERM fluid (56) disposed in the housing (36) surrounds the cylinder (28) such that it coacts with the housing (36) and cylinder (28). In the presence of a magnetic field, the ERM fluid (56), cylinder (28) and housing (36) frictionally control the rotary movement of the first damping member (16) relative to the second damping member (20).

  • Patent number: 4175642
Abstract: Surfaces to be lubricated are supplied with lubricating oil by containing the oil within a reservoir filled with a porous oleophobic mass forming an oil receptacle which is impregnated with the oil, and communicating the reservoir to the surfaces to effect expulsion of oil from the reservoir to the surfaces by the negative capillary forces active on the oil within the receptacle pores.

  • Patent number: 3981418
Abstract: An improved fluid expulsion device of the class comprising an expulsion container containing a diaphragm adapted to be displaced by a pressure fluid acting on one side of the diaphragm to expel a second fluid at the opposite side of the diaphragm. The diaphragm is bonded to the inner container wall, either by electrodeposition of a metal on the wall in such a way as to form the diaphragm on and in bonded relation to the wall or by adhesively bonding a preformed diaphragm to the wall by adhesive bands, whereby displacement of the diaphragm is accompanied by peeling of the latter from the container wall without wrinkling, tearing, or ripping.
