    Abstract: Federation policy exchange is provided in response to receiving a sharing query from an Access Point (AP) indicating that an associated wireless network supports federated identities with data sharing, determining whether the sharing query is within sharing preferences; and in response to determining that the sharing query is within the sharing preferences, transmitting, to the AP, a positive response for identity sharing that authorizes collection and sharing of identity data with at least one entity identified in a sharing policy for the associated wireless network. In various embodiments, federation policy exchange includes transmitting a support notification, via an AP, indicating support for federated identities with data sharing within a wireless network associated with the AP; and in response to receiving a first identify sharing preference from a User Equipment (UE) that indicates that negotiation is preferred, transmitting a sharing policy for the wireless network to the UE.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for transmitting voice packet data over a selected one of a first network in which multiple devices belonging to a defined set communicate with each other according to a first protocol and a second network in which multiple devices communicate with each other according to a second protocol, different from the first protocol. The method includes establishing at least one radio bearer between at least two devices in the first network according to the first protocol, receiving at least one voice packet that conforms to the second protocol, modifying the at least one voice packet to conform to the first and the second protocols, and transmitting the at least one modified voice packet using the at least one radio bearer.

The method includes requesting a handover from a first wireless network that operates according to a first protocol to a second wireless network that operates according to a second protocol, the first protocol being different than the second protocol, via a first wireless telecommunication link that operates according to the first protocol. The method also includes forming, in response to the handover request, a second wireless telecommunications link according to the first and second protocols, the second wireless telecommunications link being concurrent with the first wireless telecommunication link. The method further includes dropping the first wireless telecommunications link after forming the second wireless telecommunications link.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method implemented in a base station router. One embodiment of the method includes determining a transmission power for a pilot signal transmitted by the base station router. The transmission power being determined based upon a number of mobile units that are camped on the base station router. Another embodiment of the method includes deploying the first base station router in a physical structure and estimating the dimensions of the physical structure based on a statistical representation of at least one handover attempt associated with the first base station router. Estimation of the dimensions of the physical structure occurs in response to deployment of the first base station router in the physical structure.
