  • Patent number: 9968269
Abstract: A wireless disposable angioplasty transducer manifold is disclosed. The wireless disposable angioplasty transducer manifold includes am elongated manifold frame and a hollow elongated tubular manifold disposed within the frame. The hollow elongated tubular manifold has an inlet end for receiving fluid directly from a patient, an outlet end for returning the fluid to the patient, and a passageway extending between the inlet and outlet ends. The transducer manifold also includes at least one valve port and at least one sensing port provided on the tubular manifold, the sensing port having a pressure sensing transducer within a housing formed in the sensing port. A Radio Frequency (RF) or Infra-red (IR) transmitter and battery electrically coupled to the pressure sensing transducer allow for pressure signals to be transmitted wirelessly to remotely located monitoring equipment.

  • Patent number: 4960127
Abstract: A disposable transducer manifold assembly is provided which includes a tubular manifold formed within a frame and having an inlet and provided with at least one sensing port. The sensing port is enclosed by a chamber defined by a housing integrally formed within said frame. A pressure sensing transducer in the form of a microchip sensor is located within said housing such that a sensing surface is adapted for direct exposure to fluid in said tubular manifold through said sensing port. Electrical cable connection means are provided which extend outwardly from the housing for electrically connecting the pressure sensing transducer to a monitor.

  • Patent number: 4940459
Abstract: An inflation device for a balloon catheter has a pistol grip type handle with a trigger for releasing a screw plunger to enable rapid inflation and deflation of the balloon catheter. The trigger bias and thread angle of mating threads are selected to automatically release the plunger when a safe balloon catheter pressure is exceeded. A trigger guard is slidable over the trigger to prevent accidental operation and pressure release.

  • Patent number: 4210178
Abstract: A flushing device for placement in a slow infusion line of liquid to a human or animal body through a catheter, cannula or similar item that provides a flushing or cleaning by-pass route merely by, and only during, finger pressure applied to the flushing actuator.
