  • Patent number: 7638029
Abstract: A method for producing borohydride by causing current to flow in an electrolytic cell between an anode and a cathode, wherein a solution of trialkoxyborohydride is in contact with the cathode.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 12, 2005
Date of Patent: December 29, 2009
    Assignee: Rohm and Haas Company
Inventors: Lawrence James Guilbault, Edward Augustine Sullivan, Nancy Margaret Sullivan, legal representative, Norman Louis Weinberg
  • Patent number: 5092003
Abstract: A water conservation device composed of a cup movable relative to an opening for selectively diverting water flow from a main drain pipe to a side tap to conduct water to be conserved to a remote location through a drain pipe.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 26, 1990
Date of Patent: March 3, 1992
    Inventor: Louis Weinberg
  • Patent number: 4096052
Abstract: This invention provides a process for the electrochemical hydroxylation of aromatic compounds ring-substituted with an electron-withdrawing moiety and having a replaceable nuclear hydrogen. An aqueous liquid comprising the aromatic substrate and the anion of a strong carboxylic acid provided by a strong carboxylic acid or the salt of a strong carboxylic acid is electrolyzed to produce a nuclear-substituted hydroxy derivative of the aromatic substrate wherein the hydroxy group replaces a nuclear hydrogen.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 31, 1977
Date of Patent: June 20, 1978
Assignee: Hooker Chemicals & Plastics Corp.
    Inventor: Norman Louis Weinberg

  • Patent number: 4038194
Abstract: A blood filter unit comprising an assembly for supporting a filter cartridge, a filter cartridge, and a housing for the assembly and cartridge. The assembly for supporting the cartridge comprises a permeable cylindrical core with a bottom member and a top cap. The filter media, in the form of a cartridge, is disposed about the periphery of the core and extends between the bottom member and top cap. The core contacts the media only at intermittent areas spaced longitudinally and circumferentially about the core. The core, media and walls of the housing are tapered with respect to each other.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 6, 1976
Date of Patent: July 26, 1977
Assignees: Johnson & Johnson, Purolator, Inc.
Inventors: Alfred Robert Luceyk, Herman Charles Mouwen, Steven Louis Weinberg
