  • Patent number: 4932181
Abstract: A base assembly for an open office partition panel. The base assembly is formed in sections, namely, end sections and a center section. An end section is fastened to and supported on each leg. The center section, which fastens to and is supported on the end sections, may be omitted when electrical wiring is not installed in the panel base. Each section is formed of a pair of elongated, channel-shaped housings which are fastened to each other back to back to form a housing section having a center dividing wall and open sides. A snap-in divider separates each channel-shaped housing of the panel base section into upper and lower wire conduits.

  • Patent number: 4685402
Abstract: A fire resistive cabinet for storing easily damageable electronic data storage materials such as floppy discs to protect them against the deleterious effects of high temperature and high humidity. The cabinet includes an outer housing of fire resistive construction and an insulated inner container. A combined infrared barrier and vapor barrier is formed as a bag which contains the inner insulated container. An endothermic phase transformation material is carried in the double walls of a moisture proof bag and fits inside the polyurethane foam insulation of the inner container. An insulated removable cover closes an opening into the inner insulated container. The width and height of the container are identical so that the container can be inverted to provide either a right hand or a left hand swing for the insulated door of the fire resistive cabinet.

  • Patent number: 4015647
Abstract: An automatic nozzle assembly for the dispensing of gasoline and similar liquids and of simple, efficient and low cost construction. A stem extends into a housing and is actuated by a handle. The stem extends through a check valve which closes a downstream opening in a valve seat secured in the housing. A poppet valve is disposed about the valve stem and closes the upstream side of the opening in the valve seat to prevent fluid flow therethrough. A yoke is disposed about the upper end of the poppet valve and balls are disposed in openings in the poppet valve and are forced into engagement with the top of the stem whereby the poppet valve moves upwardly with the stem and whereby the yoke may be moved to allow the balls out of engagement with the stem whereby the poppet valve may close independently of movement of the stem.

  • Patent number: 3987812
Abstract: An adaptor assembly including an adapter body having a fluid passage extending therethrough with a poppet valve movable between open and closed positions. The poppet valve is supported on a valve stem having a gear rack thereon. A shaft extends into the adapter body and supports a manually movable handle exteriorly of the adapter body. A pinion engaging the gear rack is supported on the shaft through a lost motion connection so that the poppet valve may automatically open as the pinion rotates independently of the shaft yet may be opened as the pinion is rotated by the shaft.
