  • Publication number: 20130188352
Abstract: A lighting apparatus is shown and described. In one aspect, the lighting apparatus includes a lighting component and a mounting structure. The lighting component can include a light source, a plate, and a frame. The light source can include one or more lighting elements, such as light emitting diodes. The lighting component can be releasably secured to the mounting structure.

  • Publication number: 20130141898
Abstract: Lighting apparatus and structures are described to space electrical drivers from a light panel. In this way, a driver box housing the driver can be spaced from the light panel to communicate with pre-existing facilities (e.g. electrical wiring) and can serve the additional advantage of keeping the driver box out of standing water that may accumulate on the structure.

  • Publication number: 20130141915
Abstract: A lighted architectural mesh includes a plurality of interconnected wires forming a plurality of transverse openings. At least one light carrier is slidably received within at least one of said transverse openings. The at least one light carrier includes light nodes emitting light through the interstices on the front and/or rear side of the architectural mesh. The at least one light carrier further comprises a plurality of connecting elements, wherein the light emitter nodes of the at least one light element are releasably interconnected in series by the connecting elements.

  • Publication number: 20130120987
Abstract: A lighting apparatus is shown and described. In one aspect, the lighting apparatus includes a light source, a plate, and frame. The light source can include one or more lighting elements that are in thermal communication with the light source. The plate can have a dissipative portion extending outward from a point of thermal communication between the plate and the light source. The frame can at least partially enclose the light source and may also be in thermal communication therewith.

  • Publication number: 20130107527
Abstract: A luminaire is disclosed comprising one or more side members having one or more light modules associated therewith and defining a recess. The light module having one or more light sources, one or more light directing members, and a lens enclosing the light sources and directing members in the module. The light directing members can comprise reflector modules of different configurations to provide different light distributions from the associated one or more light sources. The light modules can be configured to cast different light distributions to combine to form the desired light distribution. The light modules can be designed or exchanged to create any desired light distribution from the same side members. The light module can comprise a tray such that the lens is sealed to the tray keeping moisture from entering the module.

  • Publication number: 20130077305
Abstract: Systems and devices are disclosed that can be aimed by external adjustment devices/features/means without the need to open the sealed LED module. Heat from the LEDs and/or LED mounting assembly can be transferred to the outside air while the module is tilted, e.g., up to 15 degrees, or more, from vertical. Additionally, the modular structure of the inground LED light can allow for upgrade/renewal of associated electronics with only minor disassembly. Moreover, the thermal dissipation/management afforded by the designs of embodiments can allow for an increase of the LED useful service life. The sealing of the inground light unit can preclude the chance of an end user (e.g., service technician) from causing the unit to leak and thereby cause premature failure.
