  • Publication number: 20180165888
Abstract: A method of allocating virtual objects based on augmented reality (AR) includes displaying, by an AR client terminal of a receiving user, a live map associated with a location of the receiving user. The live map includes a target location to which a virtual object was bound by a distributing user. The AR client terminal of the receiving user scans an image of an environment of the target location. In response to determining that the scanned image includes a preset bound target, the AR client terminal of the receiving user receives information of the virtual object from a server terminal. The preset bound target is associated with the virtual object and the target location.

  • Patent number: 9953400
Abstract: Techniques and architectures for video stabilization can transform a shaky video to a steady-looking video. A path smoothing process can generate an optimized camera path for video stabilization. With a large smoothing kernel, a path smoothing process can remove both high frequency jitters and low frequency bounces, and at the same time can preserve discontinuous camera motions (such as quick panning or scene transition) to avoid excessive cropping or geometry distortion. A sliding window based implementation includes a path smoothing process that can be used for real-time video stabilization.

  • Patent number: 9875533
Abstract: Image processing for productivity applications is provided. An image may be received by a computing device. The computing device may detect the edges comprising the received image and adjust the image based on a skew state of the detected edges. The computing device may then process the adjusted image to correct imbalances. The computing device may then assign an image classification to the processed image. The computing device may then adjust the processed image based on the assigned image classification.

  • Patent number: 9092065
Abstract: An input device has a base, two shafts, a touchpad and a switch. The shafts are pivotally connected between the base and the touchpad, and intersect each other. When the touchpad is pressed, the shafts rotate relative to the base and the touchpad simultaneously. As the shafts intersect each other, an intersection of the shafts is nearby or exactly on a center of the touchpad, such that the shafts can pull down the touchpad from the center. Thus, no matter what location on the touchpad is pressed, a pressing force is spread uniformly, which makes the touchpad move down evenly without tilting. Besides, pulling down the touchpad from the center can further prevent leverage and deformation of the touchpad, thereby avoiding affecting the user's feel of pressing. To sum up, the input device can make the touchpad move down evenly, and prevent the touchpad from deformation.

  • Patent number: 8750643
Abstract: Embodiments related to the removal of blur from an image are disclosed. One disclosed embodiment provides a method of performing an iterative non-blind deconvolution of a blurred image to form an updated image. The method comprises downsampling the blurred image to form a blurred image pyramid comprising images of two or more different resolution scales, downsampling a blur kernel to form a blur kernel pyramid comprising kernels of two or more different sizes, and deconvoluting a selected image in the blurred image pyramid according to a Richardson-Lucy deconvolution process in which a bilateral range/spatial filter is employed.

  • Publication number: 20130326417
Abstract: Techniques and systems for providing textual attribute-based image categorization and search are disclosed herein. In some aspects, images may be analyzed to identify a category of an image, or portion thereof. Additional textual attributes may be identified and associated with the image. In various aspects, the categories may be types of sky sceneries. Categorized images may be searched based on the categories and/or attributes. In further aspects, a user interface may provide an intuitive arrangement of the images for user navigation and selection. The user interface may also provide a simplified presentation and search of the categorized images. Images selected from user interface may be used to replace or modify features of an existing target image.

  • Patent number: 8571271
Abstract: A dual-phase approach to red eye correction may prevent overly aggressive or overly conservative red eye reduction. The dual-phase approach may include detecting an eye portion in a digital image. Once the eye portion is detected, the dual-phase approach may include the performance of a strong red eye correction for the eye portion when the eye portion includes a strong red eye. Otherwise, the dual-phase approach may include the performance of a weak red eye correction for the eye portion when the eye portion includes a weak red eye. The weak red eye may be distinguished from the strong red eye based a redness threshold that shows the weak red eye as having less redness hue than the strong red eye.

  • Patent number: 8554011
Abstract: Techniques for automatic exposure correction of images are provided. In particular, the exposure of an input image may be improved by automatically modifying a non-linear function that characterizes the luminance of shadow, mid-tone, and highlight portions of the image. The input image may be segmented into a number of regions and each region is assigned a zone, where the zone indicates a specified range of luminance values. An initial zone assigned to a region of the image may be changed in order to reflect an optimal zone of the region. Based, in part, on the optimal zones for each region of the image, luminance modification parameters may be calculated and applied to the non-linear function in order to produce a modified version of the input image that improves the appearance of overexposed and/or underexposed regions of the input image.

  • Patent number: 8477734
Abstract: Techniques for reporting acknowledgement (ACK) information and channel quality indication (CQI) information in a wireless communication system are described. A user equipment (UE) may be able to receive data from up to two cells with dual-cell operation. The UE may determine CQI information for a first cell, determine CQI information for a second cell, and send the CQI information for both cells on a feedback channel with a single channelization code. The UE may process a control channel from each cell and, if control information is received from the cell, may further process a data channel from the cell to receive data sent to the UE. The UE may determine ACK information for each cell based on processing results for the data and control channels from that cell. The UE may send the ACK information for both cells on the feedback channel with the single channelization code.
