  • Publication number: 20240044685
Abstract: A thermal mass flowmeter is provided to determine the air flow in a vent. The flowmeter includes a duct defined by printed circuit boards and adapted to insert in the vent. The flowmeter also includes a heating element located across the duct, for heating the air passing through the duct. At least one thermal sensor is located in the duct upstream from the heating element, relative to air flow, to measure inlet temperature of the air. At least one other thermal sensor is located in the duct downstream from the heating element, to measure outlet temperature heated by the heating element. The flowmeter further includes a support member to maintain the structural integrity of the duct within the vent, and at least one connector to exchange electrical signals with the flowmeter.

  • Patent number: 8459196
Abstract: A submersible robot for operating a tool relative to a surface of an underwater structure has a tool holder movably mounted on a support assembly provided with a driving arrangement for movably holding the tool in operative position relative to the surface. Position and orientation of the support assembly relative to the surface is locked and adjusted by locking and leveling arrangements. A programmable control unit operates the driving, locking and leveling arrangements and the tool and receives measurements from a sensor unit. The control unit has an operation mode wherein a positioning of the robot is determined and controlled as function of an initial position for defining a first work area, and shifted positions of the robot for defining additional work areas, the work areas having overlapping portions with one another for tracking displacements of the robot relative to the surface of the structure using the sensor unit.

  • Publication number: 20080313473
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a surveillance tool for managing security of mass storage devices. The method and surveillance tool installs a surveillance tool on a computer, and verifies whether there is a mass storage device connected to the computer. Then, the method determines whether the mass storage device is secured with an appropriate encryption tool, and if the mass storage device is not secured with the appropriate encryption tool, the method prevents use of the mass storage device and secures the mass storage device.

  • Publication number: 20080235521
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an encryption tool for securing electronic data storage devices. The method and encryption tool of the present invention install a file system on the electronic data storage device. Then, an input module of the encryption tool receives a user password. A key cryptography unit generates, from the user password, at least one key. A storage module stores the at least one key on the electronic data storage device. All data that is to be stored on the electronic data storage devices is encrypted using one of the at least one key. In accordance with some embodiments of the invention, the electronic data storage device is further filled with insignificant data.
