  • Patent number: 10975981
Abstract: A fluid collection and disposal device for a transfer cart used for transporting wet articles is comprised of a tray disposed below articles to be transported on a transfer cart. The tray has a drain opening. A conduit extends from the drain opening to an exterior side of the transfer cart. A valve assembly is connected to the conduit for controlling fluid flow through the conduit. The valve assembly is comprised of a valve element moveable between a closed, first position restricting flow of fluid through the conduit and an opened, second position allowing flow of fluid through the conduit. An actuator is provided for moving the valve element from the closed position to the open position. The actuator is moveable by physical engagement with an external stop.

  • Patent number: 10890463
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and system for providing takeoff pitch guidance for an aircraft. Takeoff pitch guidance for the aircraft is provided in a pitch target mode at a time of takeoff. The pitch target mode corresponds to determining pitch as a function of a target pitch based on aircraft operating parameters. A transition event is detected while in the pitch target mode. The takeoff pitch guidance for the aircraft is transitioned from the pitch target mode to an airspeed error mode after the transition event is detected and the takeoff pitch guidance is provided in the airspeed error mode. The airspeed error mode corresponds to determining pitch based on a difference between an actual speed and a target speed of the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 6874753
Abstract: A sealing device for a modulating valve of the type having a valve body defining a flow passage, an inlet and outlets, a valve displaceable in the flow passage, and an actuator having an actuator rod rotatably coupled to the valve for displacing the valve in the flow passage. The sealing device comprises a body surrounding the actuator rod. A connector is adapted to secure the body of the sealing device to the valve body. Seals are provided between the body of the sealing device and the actuator rod arid between the body of the sealing device and the valve body, to prevent fluid flow therebetween. The body of the sealing device and the seals are adapted to conceal and contain fluid leaks, whereby no fluid is lost due to a leaking modulating valve.

  • Patent number: 6852380
Abstract: A sealing device for use in a sealed double glazed window assembly is described and consists of a pair of glass sheets arranged in spaced parallel relationship to form an air space therebetween and of a spacing unit disposed between the inner marginal edges of the glass sheets. The device comprises a flexible plug that fits into holes made in the spacing unit. A blind rivet is used within the plug and consists of a deformed sleeve member and of a ruptured annular member coaxially positioned within the sleeve member. The bottom wall of the plug is made of piercable material so that a piercing member may be introduced in the cavity to penetrate through the bottom wall to thereby have access to the space between the sheets.

  • Patent number: 5345734
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes a sealing device for a use in a sealed double glazed window assembly consisting of a pair of glass sheets arranged in spaced parallel relationship to form an air space therebetween and of a spacing unit disposed between the inner marginal edges of the glass sheets. The device comprises a flexible plug that fits into holes made in the spacing unit to allow a gas to be injected into the space between the sheets. A blind rivet is provided within the plug and when an outward pull is exerted on the rivet, an expansion of the plug results to thereby sealingly contain the gas injected between the glass sheets.
