  • Patent number: 9049223
Abstract: A user system includes terminal equipment configured to receive and send data through a communication network; a terminal security support system removably insertable in, and configured to cooperate with, the terminal equipment; and a trusted user platform for the terminal equipment. The trusted user platform includes an information protection system configured to implement security functionalities, configuration instances for the information protection system, and a trusted communication agent configured to provide a safe communication between the terminal security support system and a remote management centre through the terminal equipment to allow the information protection system to be remotely configured from the remote management centre.

  • Patent number: 6389202
Abstract: In the fiber and in any fiber (F), a reflecting surface (F1) is created that is generically tilted with respect to the main propagation path (T1) of the optical radiation in said fiber, so as to originate by reflection an additional propagation path (T2) that is generically deflected with respect to said main propagation path (T1). In a mounting support (2) common to the fiber (F) and the related opto-electronic component (O), a groove is made along an external face (2a) so as to accomodate the optical fiber (F) in a tight condition. The groove (3) is then covered through a laminar cover, that is transparent to the radiation and has a flat surface (4a). The fiber (F) is inserted into said groove in order that said deflected propagation path (T2) passes through said cover (4) of material transparent to the radiation, and the opto-electronic component (O) is mounted on said cover (4) in alignment with said deflected propagation path (T2).

  • Patent number: 5828246
Abstract: A circuit source has bias and modulation current generators for both p-type and n-type optical sources, and a pair of sources of control voltages for the bias and modulation current generators, which obtain pairs of control voltages from an adjustable driving current. An external signal allows selecting, by means of a control logic and CMOS gates, the generators required by the source. The circuit is made by using three pads of an integrated circuit, one for each control voltage source and the third comprising the current generators, the CMOS gates and the control logic.

  • Patent number: 5596664
Abstract: Transmitter module for optical interconnections, comprising a metal container housing an optical emitting device, an integrated circuit containing the driving circuit of the emitting device and an optical fibre extending outside the container, the emitting device being mounted on a metallic ground area realized on the integrated circuit. The cathode is electrically connected to the ground area and the anode is connected to a second metal area, connected with the output of the driving circuit. The module uses a type of assembly which minimises problems due to the length of the connecting wires, to parasitic effects and to the effects of signal reflections due to impedance mismatching. It also requires reduced power for its operation and it is provided with a structure facilitating dissipation.
