  • Publication number: 20110042169
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems for maximizing the cage (4) size in lift plants by a traction machine (3) each provided with two traction pulleys (1, 2) equal in size to the half of a common pulley, on which the suspension pulleys (11, 14) are wrapped divided into two groups, each of them developing a suspension size ratio equal to 1:2 or greater, either for the cage (4) or the counterweight (5).

  • Publication number: 20110042170
Abstract: The present invention refers to a configuration of the pulleys and ropes so as to obtain the cage (21) suspension of the size ratio type at least equal to 1:2 or greater (1:4, 1:6, 1:8, etc) and the suspension of a balance weight (14) always equal to 1:2 in size ratio, formed such that the path of the balance weight is equal to the path of the cage. The ropes going from the traction pulley (2) towards the balance weight pass between the pulleys placed on the cage and the pulleys (5, 8) placed in the lower portion of the shaft, such that the portion of the size ratio not obtained between the balance weight and the upper portion of the shaft is realized between the cage and the lower portion of the shaft, so as to equalize on the whole the size ratio between the cage and the upper portion of the shaft. Advantageously, the invention can be provided with segmented dowelling of the pulley races and insertion undercut.

  • Patent number: 7364019
Abstract: The present invention is about a traction sheave elevator, without the machine room, comprising an elevator car that runs on guide rails placed in the shaft and connected to at least one hoisting rope un-coiling on a diverting pulley driven by a traction sheave. The invention's characteristic consists in comprising a space, outside the elevator shaft, which houses, at least partially, the traction sheave and is equipped with an opening near a floor's door for the access to the drive machine and to the traction sheave, from outside the shaft. The invention also provides for arranging the two diverting pulleys on the counterweight and on the elevator car in a way that one or the other can be tilted with respect to the vertical or arranging them on the same axis and on the same body of the pulley with the grooves of the alternating hoisting ropes.

  • Patent number: 6471012
Abstract: The invention relates to a traction sheave elevator. The elevator car has been arranged to move along guide track in an elevator shaft. The counterweight has been arranged to move along guide track in the elevator shaft. Both ends of rope are attached to a fixed overhead structure. The elevator car and the counterweight are supported by the rope. The rope is passed via a number of rope pulleys, one of which is the traction sheave while the others are diverting pulleys. Rope pulleys are connected to the counterweight, to the fixed overhead structure in the upper part of the elevator shaft and to the elevator car. The elevator car is provided with a first pair of car rope pulleys placed at a distance from each other. The traction motor has been arranged to drive one of the rope pulleys, which is the traction sheave. Connected to the elevator car is a second pair of car rope pulleys, in which the car rope pulleys are at a distance from each other.

  • Publication number: 20020000348
Abstract: The invention relates to a traction sheave elevator. The elevator car (2) has been arranged to move along guide track (A) in an elevator shaft (1). The counterweight (3) has been arranged to move along guide track (B) in the elevator shaft (1). Both ends of rope (4) are attached to a fixed overhead structure (5). The elevator car and the counterweight are supported by the rope. The rope (4) is passed via a number of rope pulleys (6-14), one of which is the traction sheave while the others are diverting pulleys. Rope pulleys are connected to the counterweight (3), to the fixed overhead structure (5) in the upper part of the elevator shaft and to the elevator car (2). The elevator car is provided with a first pair of car rope pulleys (6, 7) placed at a distance from each other. The traction motor (15) has been arranged to drive one of the rope pulleys, which is the traction sheave.
