    Abstract: The pneumatic cylinder includes a tubular body defining a piston chamber for a piston member, closed by front and rear heads; each head is provided with an inlet-outlet port for pressurised air, which opens out towards an annular slot coaxially arranged and communicating with the piston chamber. The piston is provided with a rod which extends through a guide bush in the front head. A pneumatic cushion is provided to control the movement of the piston at the ends of its stroke; the cushion of the front head includes a narrow passage for venting the air, and a sleeve protruding from the piston, to penetrate into an annular slot disposed coaxially around the guide bush for the piston rod.

    Abstract: A variable-stroke pneumatic cylinder; the cylinder comprises a tubular casing, having fore and rear heads, defining a chamber for reciprocation of a piston member along a working stroke; at least one of the heads is provided with an air inlet/outlet hole connected to a central cavity in the cylinder head, which facing towards the piston chamber. The rear head is provided with a pneumatic damping device comprising a venting path provided with a control valve. The pneumatic cylinder also comprises head extension members to change the working stroke; the extension members are in the form of disk-shaped member secured to the cylinder head. Each disk member is provided with a central hole axially aligned with the central cavity of the cylinder head, and an air venting hole axially aligned with a venting hole branched off from the air venting path.

    Abstract: A toggle lever clamping device for clamping a workpiece to a support frame; the clamping device comprises a box-shaped head to which a clamping arm is pivoted to rotate between an open and a closed condition to release respectively to lock the workpiece; the clamping arm is operatively connected to an actuator by a toggle lever mechanism having a dead center condition beyond which the clamping arm is tightened against the workpiece. The toggle mechanism comprises an elastically yieldable connection link which, upon reaching the dead center of the toggle lever mechanism is sequentially allowed to axially yield for a some degree and to deflect in a controlled mode by confronting stop means provided on the same clamping arm.

    Abstract: A solenoid microvalve for fluids, of the type comprising a valve unit and a solenoid control device which can be mutually engaged and disengaged by means of a snap coupling. The valve unit comprises a sleeve for housing a movable magnetic member and a steady magnetic core member, which extend axially in a coil defining the magnetic circuit of the solenoid control device, and in which the movable magnetic core is biased, by a spring, towards a position in which it closes a flow passageway in the microvalve. The sleeve comprises a rear portion of magnetically conductive material, for circulation of the magnetic flux, which extends from one side of the valve unit, and a front portion of magnetically non-conductive material, from which the steady core member partially protrudes. The rear sleeve portion is provided with an annular slot which engages by snapping a hooking spring provided on a front side of the solenoid control device.

    Abstract: A sealing device for a rodless pneumatic cylinder comprising a hollow body having an elongated chamber in which a reciprocating piston slides. The cylinder has a longitudinal slot and sealing means in the form of a flexible strip passing through a longitudinal passageway in the piston; the sealing strip has a width greater than that of the slot and longitudinally extending retaining bead members engaging and disengaging grooves inside the cylinder body, spaced apart from the central slot. The sealing strip also comprises sealing lips fitting against bevelled edges on a side of the retaining grooves. The strip is provided with a reinforcement to withstand the mechanical stresses caused by the reciprocating piston.
