  • Patent number: 5729114
Abstract: An electronic fast-starting system for a textile loom in which an asynchronous driving motor, whose phase windings are triangularly connected, is mechanically connected to the main crank shaft of the loom and is controlled by an inverter/controller receiving not only the set speed value but also the outlet signal of a speed detector situated on the main crank shaft.

  • Patent number: 5526850
Abstract: A main nozzle for an air jet loom has an outer casing and is provided with a compressed air introduction duct and a mixing chamber. A mixer tube provided with an annular distributor ring is inserted into the outer casing to form with the outer casing and annular distribution chamber upstream of the distributor ring and, downstream of the distributor ring, and annular accceleration chamber which feeds into the mixing chamber. The distributor ring has annularly arranged blowing slots. The acceleration chamber is formed by an outer conical wall provided on a portion of the inside of the outer casing and an inner conical wall provided on a portion of the mixing tube. The tapered walls of the annular acceleration chamber optimize the air jet used for inserting the weft into the shed. The inclination of the taper of the outer wall of the nozzle annular acceleration chamber is 12.degree.-16.degree., and that of the inner wall is 4.degree.-8.degree.. In the preferred embodiment, the taper of the outer wall is 15.

  • Patent number: 5518041
Abstract: A reed for an air-jet loom which includes an entry flare allowing several main nozzles to be used. The reed has an inclination of the lower surface of an air guide channel, and an advantageous spacing between the binding spirals which support upper and lower ends of the reeds. The arrangement provides for effective, reliable multi-weft weaving, and can increase the weaving efficiency of the loom, particularly when weaving yarns with irregularities. In a preferred embodiment, the distance between the two binding spirals is approximately 81 mm, with the lower surface of the entry flare having an inclination of approximately 6.degree. with respect to a normal to the rear surface of the channel.

  • Patent number: 5439034
Abstract: A mechanism for transmitting the selection command for a reed beating position in a terry loom, the terry loom including a connecting rod, one end of which is hinged to the common articulated joint of two pivoted arms by which the support body for the toothed sector mounted on the axis of rotation of the loom sley is hinged to the lower end of the sley, the other end being hinged to the end of the rocker lever. The other end is hinged so as to lie on the axis of rotation of the sley when said rocker lever rests against the fixed shoulder of the loom.

  • Patent number: 5431195
Abstract: A control system for a plurality of tuck-in selvedge forming devices in a loom having a variable reed beat-up position includes a main shaft, a drive shaft connected to all the tuck-in selvedge forming devices, a modulator driven by the main shaft and having an output shaft which pauses at least once during each revolution of the main shaft, as well as a coupling unit rotatable with the drive shaft and operative to be selectively rotatably coupled to the modulator output shaft so that the drive shaft is driven by the main shaft. The coupling unit includes a ring fixed to the drive shaft and a first cover pivoted to the ring so that a key can enter into the recess of the modulator output shaft to rotatably couple the coupling unit to the modulator output shaft during its pauses. A second lever is biased so as to follow contours of a control cam and prevent the first key from entering the recess of the modulator output shaft.
