  • Patent number: 6168865
Abstract: The present invention relates to a coating composition comprising one or more hydroxyl-containing, modified or nonmodified polyesters and one or more hydroxyl-reactive crosslinkers, characterized in that the coating composition comprises as binder a mixture of A1) from 35 to 95% by weight of one or more hydroxyl-containing polyesters (A1) having an OH number of from 15 to 210 mg of KOH/g, an acid number of from 10 to 120 mg of KOH/g and a number-average molecular weight of from 500 to 6,000 g/mol, A2) from 2 to 50% by weight of one or more water-thinnable, modified epoxy resin esters (A2), and A3) from 0 to 20% by weight of one or more water-thinnable, hydroxyl-containing, epoxy resin-modified alkyd resins (A3), the sum of the proportions by weight of components (A1) to (A3) being in each case 100% by weight and the proportions by weight being based in each case on the solids content of the binders (A1) to (A3).
