  • Patent number: 7513494
Abstract: For the separation of the sheets of a record carrier from a pile (10) in order to feed them to an office machine or a printer, a rolling action device (14) sits on the uppermost sheet (12) of the pile (10). By means of the rolling action device (14), the uppermost sheet (12) is loosened from the following next sheet (20) and is pushed against a stop in the feeding direction. The stop is positioned at an impingement angle of at least 90 degrees in relation to the plane, in which the uppermost sheet (12) is being pushed against the stop. Then the stop is moved upwards so that it could pick upwards the front edge of the uppermost sheet (12). The stop can be built, for instance, of at least one upwards-running belt (22).

  • Publication number: 20050280199
Abstract: For separation of sheets of a recording carrier from a stack for feeding to an office machine, printer or the like, a pick-up device is placed on the rear end of the stack. The pick-up device pushes the sheets against the belt in overlapping fashion, which raises the front edge of the first sheet arriving first from the stack. The holding element is then pivoted into the gap between the first sheet and the second sheet. The holding element holds the second sheet on the stack and forces the first sheet against a given transport roller with a pressure roller. Separation elements are pushed between the first sheet and the second sheet in order to separate the first sheet from the second sheet. The pick-up device is raised so that the first sheet can be withdrawn by the transport rollers from the stack and fed to the ejection rollers.

  • Patent number: 6663097
Abstract: A device for feeding sheets of a recording medium from a stack to an office machine, having movable elements which are moved by way of driven continuously rotating traction devices in the feed direction over the respective top sheet of the stack. The movable elements are supported by guide skids and are in contact with the top sheet under pressure to separate the top sheet from the second sheet of the stack beneath it and displace the top sheet with respect to the second sheet in the direction of feed. The movable elements each have at least one roller arranged across the direction of feed, mounted so it can rotate freely on a traction device.

  • Publication number: 20030075854
Abstract: A method and a device for separating the sheets of a stack are described. At least one flexing device engages at the top sheet of the stack, tensioning or arching the edges of the top sheet. This creates a clearance between the top sheet and a second, lower sheet. A separating edge is inserted into said clearance so that the top sheet can be removed by a transport arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6318715
Abstract: A device for separating sheets (10) of a recording medium stored in a horizontally disposed stack includes an advance roller (16) resting on the stack and following the decreasing height of the stack. The advance roller (16) is drivable in order to acquire the topmost sheet (10.1) of the stack under frictional closure and to slide it for separation with its leading edge up on an obliquity (14). In order to be able to separate sheets (10) of different stiffness, the advance roller (16), while it is driven on the topmost sheet (10.1), drifts from the obliquity (14) until the leading edge of the sheet (10.1) runs up on the obliquity (14). The advance roller (16) is movable vertically. The counter force acting during the driving of the advance roller (16) is additionally supported in a rocker in order to increase the contact pressure against the topmost sheet (10.1) in case of the sheets of great stiffness.

  • Patent number: 6077030
Abstract: An arrangement is described for the gathered collection of sheets of a recording medium, which are output by a recording device. The sheets are collected sequentially on the periphery of a drum. In the periphery of the drum is provided a depression in which drivable transport rollers are disposed. The transport rollers cooperate with pressing rollers which can be swiveled against the transport rollers. The transport rollers and the pressing rollers serve, on the one hand, for clamping the gathered sheets against the drum and, on the other hand, for ejecting the gathered bundle.

  • Patent number: 5131512
Abstract: In a hydraulic telescopic damper with a cylinder (10) and a piston (12) which has a check valve (O-ring 18) and a narrow opening (22), a valve member (30) is mounted on the side of piston (12) away from the pressure side. Valve member (30) is urged by the force of a spring (36) in a locking position of piston (12) and keeps opening (22) closed. The telescopic damper thereby locks automatically. Exerting an additional manual force on the piston rod can release the self-locking action once more.
