  • Publication number: 20180078569
Abstract: In alternative embodiments, the invention provides compositions and methods for overcoming or diminishing or preventing Growth Factor Inhibitor resistance in a cell, or, a method for increasing the growth-inhibiting effectiveness of a Growth Factor inhibitor on a cell, or, a method for re-sensitizing a cell to a Growth Factor inhibitor, comprising for example, administration of a combination of a TBK1 inhibitor and an RTK inhibitor. In alternative embodiments, the cell is a tumor cell, a cancer cell or a dysfunctional cell.

  • Publication number: 20100009938
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of acetyl salicylic acid (ASA) in combination with MRP4 channel inhibitors for the treatment of all diseases related to so-called ASA resistance. Particularly preferred among the MRP4 channel inhibitors is dipyridamole. The invention also relates to an in-vitro diagnostic method for identifying ASA-resistant patients and to the associated kit for implementing the diagnostic method.

  • Patent number: 6409834
Abstract: The gluing apparatus (220) for plants for producing wood fibre panels by a dry method comprises a tubular body (250) and sprayer means (262) to inject a suitable liquid glue into the interior of the tubular body (250). The cross-section through the tubular body (250) encloses an area which increases in progressing from its open upstream end (253), into which the wood fibres are fed conveyed by an air stream, to its open downstream end 257). The tubular body (250) comprises a sealed outer wall (252) and an air-permeable inner wall (254) spaced from the former (242). In the outer wall (252) of the tubular body (250) there are provided a plurality of apertures distributed along this latter to enable additional air streams to be fed (through 258) into it.

  • Patent number: 5792264
Abstract: Gluing machine for use in plants for producing wood fibreboard panels by a dry process including a hollow cylindrical shell having an inlet opening at one end for feeding an air stream transporting the fibers within which the glue is to be distributed, and an outlet opening at an opposite end for removing the air stream transporting the glue-impregnated fibers. A sprayer is provided for spraying an adhesive onto the fibers flowing through the cylindrical shell. The machine includes members for maintaining the flowing fibers close to the inner wall of the cylindrical shell for a predetermined distance. The sprayer is positioned within the predetermined distance in which the fibers are maintained close to the inner surface of the cylindrical shell.
