Publication number: 20240142945Abstract: A system and method are provided for automated engaging of a truck trailer at a loading dock. Sensors measure a distance and an angle of alignment between the incoming trailer and a wall of the loading dock. An outside lighting system guides a truck driver backing the trailer toward the dock door. A vehicle restraint system fixates the trailer within the loading dock in response to signals from the sensors. An overhead dock door opens once the trailer is successfully fixated by the vehicle restraint system. A dock leveler deploys after the overhead dock door opens. An inside dock light indicates to dock personnel that the trailer is ready to be serviced. Once servicing of the trailer is finished, an automated release of the trailer from the loading dock may be initiated by PLC communication.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Luis Ramos, Alex Sigala, Ken Cooper, Sergio Falcon, Ken Cooper, IV

Patent number: 11973775Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to implement a network data interpretation pipeline to recognize machine operations (MOs) and machine activities (MAs) from network traffic data observed in a monitored network. In embodiments, a MO recognition engine is implemented in the network to recognize MOs from network sensor events (NSEs) based on defined recognition patterns. The MOs and any unrecognized NSEs are uploaded to a network monitoring system, where they are further analyzed by a MA recognition engine to recognize higher-level machine activities performed by machines. The NSEs, MOs, and MAs are used by the network monitoring system to implement a variety of security threat detection processes. Advantageously, the pipeline may be used to add rich contextual information about the raw network data to facilitate security threat detection processes.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2021Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: Rapid7, Inc.Inventor: Luis Ramos dos Santos Lopes

Patent number: 11886460Abstract: In some examples, a computing device is able to communicate with a plurality of data clusters. For example, a first data cluster may be configured with a first version of data cluster software including a first library version, and a second data cluster may be configured with a second version of data cluster software including a second library version that is different from the first. The computing device may execute a single instance of an application to send, based at least on information in the first library version, to the first data cluster, a request for first data, and may receive the first data from the first cluster. Further, the computing device may send, based at least on information in the second library version, second data that is based on the first data to the second data cluster to store the second data with the second data cluster.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2020Date of Patent: January 30, 2024Assignee: HITACHI VANTARA LLCInventors: Angelo Manuel Rodriguez, Jacob Russell Gminder, Angel Luis Ramos Cardona

Patent number: 11855869Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and processes for centralized containerized deployment of network traffic sensors to network sensor hosts for deep packet inspection (DPI) that supports various other cybersecurity operations. A network sensor package containing a pre-configured network sensor container is received by a network sensor host from a network sensor deployment server. Installation of the network sensor package on the network sensor host causes execution of the network sensor container that further causes deployment of an on-premise network sensor along with a network sensor management system, a DPI system, and an intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS) system. The configurable on-premise network sensor is deployed on multiple operating system distributions of the network sensor host and generates actionable network metadata using DPI techniques for optimized log search and management and improved intrusion detection and response (IDR) operations.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2022Date of Patent: December 26, 2023Assignee: Rapid7, Inc.Inventors: John Brosnan, Jeff Myers, Andriy Lyubka, Darragh Delaney, Erran Carey, Martin Hutchings, Ralph McTeggart, Ryan Williams, Daniel Skelton, Luke Coughlan, Gianpaolo Tedesco, Luis Ramos Dos Santos Lopes, Lars-Kristian Svenoy, Dan-Adrian Moinescu, Niall Cochrane, Morgan Doyle, Sarah Addis
