  • Publication number: 20060195893
Abstract: The present invention provides a telecommunication apparatus, user equipment and method for Single Sign-On authentication purposes when the access network does not provide data origin authentication. The invention proposes the re-utilisation of the original access authentication carried out with the core network, namely with the home network holding the user's subscription or with the visited network where the user is roaming. Therefore, access credentials obtained during a successful authentication of the user with the core network are linked at the user equipment side with a secure tunnel established towards a service network through the access network. Said access credentials received at an entity of the service network are also linked therein with the secure tunnel, and both linked with an internal IP address to securely identify the user in the service network.

  • Patent number: 6597264
Abstract: High performance microwave filter with monomode resonators, said filter having a resonant frequency that corresponds to an electromagnetic resonance mode of an hybrid electromagnetic family comprising electric and magnetic field patterns. The filter is characterised in that it is capable of producing perturbation in a respective electric field (a2; b2) of two of said adjacent resonators, giving rise to a coupling of relatively high magnitude between the unperturbed electric fields (a1; b1).

  • Patent number: 6351193
Abstract: Microwave equalizer with internal amplitude correction, preferably for application in satellite communications, comprising at least one resonant cavity (2), at least one incoming signal injector (6) that projects into said resonant cavity (2) for injecting signal into said resonant cavity (2), and at least a first resistive tuner (5). The position of said first tuner (5) with respect to said injector (6) produces electromagnetic coupling between both tuner (5) and injector (6), giving rise to an amplitude attenuation effect in said signal. A variation in said relative position between said means the first resistive tuner and injector permits changing said attenuation in a selective manner. A second resistive tuner (7) can be used in combination with the first resistive tuner (5) to optimize the response of the equalizer.

  • Patent number: 5793271
Abstract: Comprising one or more resonant cavities in which are produced two resonant modes at two different frequencies f.sub.1 and f.sub.2, both modes having essentially the same field distributions but rotated 90.degree. with respect to each other. Each cavity comprises a tuning element (TS.sub.a) for tuning the resonant frequency f.sub.1 of the first mode along a first axis, a tuning element (TS.sub.b) for tuning the resonant frequency f.sub.2 of the second mode along a second axis perpendicular to the first, input coupling means (IC) and output coupling means (OC) for injecting into and extracting from the cavity, respectively, a radiofrequency signal along axes not parallel to those of resonance. Filter tuning is done by using only two tuning elements, which means that the filter cost is lower and the tuning time is reduced.
