  • Publication number: 20210330356
Abstract: A skin-treatment system comprises a plurality of fluid reservoirs, a selection valve operatively connected to each of the plurality of fluid reservoirs, a first pump operatively connected to the selection valve, and a handpiece comprising a treatment tip configured to apply treatment fluid from one or more of the plurality of fluid reservoirs via the selection valve and the first pump to a skin surface. The treatment tip may comprise a vacuum inlet configured to aspirate waste fluid away from the skin surface. A momentary switch may be located on the handpiece. The momentary switch may have an “on” setting under which electrical current is allowed to flow to the first pump, and an “off” setting under which electrical current is prevented from flowing to the first pump. The first pump may be activated only when the momentary switch is in its “on” setting.

  • Patent number: 10369073
Abstract: A skin treatment apparatus. The skin treatment apparatus may comprise: an applicator tool, a vacuum source, fluid reservoir, and first tube. The applicator tool may comprise: a tip, a head, and a body. The head is removeably connected to a distal end of the body. The tip is preferably positioned substantially within the head and may comprise one or more contact members. The contact members may comprise a contact surface. The contact surface are generally nonabrasive and are configured to contact a skin surface. The vacuum source may provide a vacuum to the applicator tool to create a suction. The tip may comprise at least one opening that is in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir via the first tube. The fluid reservoir may store a fluid, which may pass through the first tube, through the opening of the tip, and drawn outside the tip via the vacuum.

  • Patent number: 5353746
Abstract: An aquarium includes a tank with a canopy forming a top for the tank. A well is formed in the canopy with a ledge and a hollow hinged door fastened to the canopy and resting on the ledge. The door includes a transparent bottom panel and a removable top panel with a lighting fixture mounted on the top panel and positioned so that it illuminates the interior of the tank. The door can be opened for tasks such as cleaning the tank. The described configuration isolates the light fixture from the tank such that changing of the bulb or tube or servicing of the light fixture may be accomplished with minimum danger of electrical shocks from contact with water in the tank. A smaller port on one side of the canopy provides ready access to the tanks for feeding the fish.

  • Patent number: 5197309
Abstract: A locking device for motor vehicles includes a clamp device including a pair of jaws secured to the steering wheel rim of the vehicle, an anchor secured to the body of the vehicle and a heavy but somewhat flexible cable securing the clamp device to the anchor. The clamp device, when locked, is opened by means of a key lock mechanism or a solenoid operated from a switch. The switch may be operated manually or through an electronic control such as an alarm system.

  • Patent number: 5156640
Abstract: A self-cleaning bird cage includes a chamber formed of a plurality of transparent vertical walls and a top enclosing a perch, with a perforated floor for permitting waste from birds to drop through. A cabinet supporting the chamber includes a platform under the floor with rollers at each end and including a roll of thin plastic material which tends to adhere to itself and to other materials which is fed as a web over the rollers to a take-up roll. Waste and debris falling through the perforated floor land on the web. The take-up roll is preferably driven by an electric motor which is operated for a period sufficient to transfer the soiled plastic material onto the take-up roll. A box positioned below the take-up roll collects solid debris such as seed husks which do not adhere to the plastic material. A second, simplified embodiment incorporates a knob to permit an operator to manually wind the plastic material on said take-up roll.

  • Patent number: 4710745
Abstract: A psychologically sound automobile protection system designed to give a warning of electrical activity to anyone who enters the immediate region of the doors, windows or other openings of a vehicle. The system consumes so little energy when in operation that it is electrically connected to operate at all times when the ignition of the vehicle is off. The indicators are of such small size that they are hardly visible visible to anyone except those in the immediate region of the vehicle and particularly to those who might consider an unauthorized entry of the vehicle. The system includes a relay or other switching device which is connected to the battery or main power supply of the vehicle via the ignition switch whereby the relay or switching device is activated to apply power from the battery to the system when the ignition switch is off. Power is applied to a periodic circuit such as multivibrator which is connected to drive a flashing signalling device.

  • Patent number: 4538547
Abstract: An improved fish tank employing largely opaque walls with a window which may be of a magnifying or non-magnifying type, but provides a center of attention for viewing fish within the tank. The view within the tank presents the appearance of looking into the natural domain of the fish by reason of the opaque surrounding walls. The walls themselves are of flexible material such as vinyl plastic and backed by reinforcement to provide rigidity. The backing on all sides except the window may be finished or covered with attractive material to convert the fish tank into an attractive piece of furniture, for example, a wall divider.
