  • Publication number: 20210379335
Abstract: Steerable delivery devices use one or more pull wires. Described herein are devices and methods for securing a pull wire to an adjustment mechanism of such delivery devices. The disclosed devices facilitate securing the pull wire by using a wrapping set screw that forms a lumen for the pull wire and one or more notches in the side of the wrapping set screw at its proximal end. The notches allow the pull wire to be pulled through a notch so that when the wrapping set screw is driven into a threaded lumen the pull wire lies along the roots of the screw. The pull wire is secured in place due at least in part to friction and/or to being pressed between the screw and the threaded lumen of a wrap housing where the wrap housing can be part of the adjustment mechanism of the delivery device.

  • Patent number: 9397969
Abstract: An electronic system (and corresponding method) for creating and managing media content involves at least one content management system (CMS) and a service. The CMS is configured to interact with at least one first-type user in order to create and manage media content for publication. The service is configured to interact with a plurality of second-type users in order to submit media content items that are associated with media content managed by the CMS and to store such media content items. Both the CMS and the service include corresponding interfaces that allow for exchange of electronic messages therebetween via network communications over the Internet, wherein the electronic messages conform to a predefined protocol.

  • Publication number: 20150085359
Abstract: An alternative illumination source for traditional optical microscopes is provided. This super-resolution illumination source permits to use a traditional optical microscope for the direct observation of objects smaller than 100 nanometers such as subcellular structures in microorganisms, carbon nanotubes and other nanosize objects, and even nanostructures fabricated on top of a silicon wafer. This invention relies on the integration of two functional elements: a microscope, and the super-resolution illumination source. The super-resolution illumination source is formed by an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs) uniformly distributed in a hemisphere. The object under observation is illuminated by the light emitted in all directions by the array of LEDs. Real, wide-field images of the sample with nano-resolution are direct and analogically formed by the microscope's lenses, without the need of sample tagging, intensive computation or scanning.
