Abstract: An improved ride-on rotary lawnmower comprises a cutter device having one or more blades rotating about an axis substantially perpendicular to the ground and contained in a downwardly open casing provided with a rear duct for the discharge of cut grass. The casing of the cutter device of the lawnmower is mounted between front wheels and rear wheels. The bottom of the rear duct of the cutter casing is closed by a wall pivoted about the rear lower side of the duct. A rear grass box is carried either by the casing of the cutting device or by the frame of the lawnmower. A roller is located in the space between the two rear wheels and always in contact with the ground independently from the height from the ground of the cutter casing. The roller occupies the entire space between the rear wheels but does not extend laterally of the rear wheels. The axis of the roller lies in the vertical plane which passes through the axis of the rear wheels and is not displaced to any substantial extent from this axis.

Abstract: There is disclosed a mowing machine comprising at least a grass cutting blade, rotating about an axis substantially perpendicular to the ground and housed within a casing, open at the bottom and communicating with a cut grass conveying duct 15 for discharging the cut grass which comprises a movable wall 17 at the bottom tiltable towards the inlet mouth of a cut grass collecting vessel 3 effective to be associated with the cut grass discharging mouth of the conveying duct.

Abstract: The novel lawn mower has a blade which comprises an elongated body, capable of rotating about a substantially perpendicular axis to the ground, provided, at the operative edges thereof, with cutting members for cutting grass and, at the opposite edges with respect to said cutting members, with unsharpened lugs capable of directing the cut grass into the collection container and chopping the cut grass, immediately after the grass has been cut.

Abstract: A rotating grass-cutting machine blade is provided at each end with a projecting member which exercises a pushing action on the cut grass pieces so as to eject the cut grass towards a discharging port formed through the rotating grass-cutting machine casing and then into a collecting vessel. The projecting members may be perforated wall blades or may consist of a comb formed by removing material from a bent portion of the blade. Each projecting member may consist of a plurality of laminae which extend parallel with respect to the longitudinal axis of the blade or may consist of a plurality of cantilevered members.
