  • Publication number: 20210307652
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for measuring, capturing, and modifying the motion of a body, for providing visual comparisons, metrics of comparison, and for generating motion standards. The motion standards may be generated during motion capture and may be used as references for comparing amongst other motion standards or captured motions. Comparisons may generally be used for training and improving upon motions, such as athletic related motions, rehabilitation related motions, and the like. In certain embodiments data capture is done primarily by sensor units worn on a body which communicate amongst each other and are supplemented by probabilistic relationships and models which infer or modify motion not captured by sensor units, which when paired with a secondary processing unit analyzes the data and provides a means of comparing and modifying a captured motion, and which stores or relays such data to a tertiary device, such as a remote database.

  • Patent number: 10863840
Abstract: Disclosed herein are multiple embodiments of anti-sloshing liquid-retaining bottles. Embodiments include anti-sloshing liquid-retaining bottles that comprise an internal bladder configured to expand in volumetric proportion to the liquid expelled from the liquid containing bottle thereby eliminating air and, by extension, space in which the water could slosh. Anti-sloshing liquid-retaining bottles disclosed herein can rely on various mechanisms for volumetrically expanding the bladder against liquid retained in the bottle, mechanisms include pneumatic modulation of the bladder using a regulator configured to introduce pressure from a high pressure reservoir to inflate or expand the bladder and valves to release the pressure and deflate the bladder, as well as mechanisms for spring actuation to expand or inflate the bladder. Additional embodiments of anti-sloshing liquid-retaining bottles include bottles comprising wave breakers for passively preventing sloshing by dampening the motion.

  • Publication number: 20200337896
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and devices which improve upon prior art methods and devices for delivering atropine to the eye. In certain aspects, the disclosure provides method for delivering a composition comprising atropine to an eye of a subject in need thereof as a micro-dose stream of droplets. The method generally includes, (a) generating a micro-dose stream of droplets including the composition comprising atropine via a piezoelectric droplet delivery device, wherein the micro-dose stream of droplets has an average ejected droplet diameter greater than 15 microns; and (b) delivering the micro-dose stream of droplets to the eye of said subject. In certain embodiments, the method treats myopia, in particular progressive myopia (nearsightedness) in adults and children, in the subject in need thereof.

  • Publication number: 20200289102
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for treating damaged or diseased valves are disclosed. A representative embodiment includes an elongated shaft having a longitudinal axis, a proximal portion, and a distal portion, and a dissection arm at the distal portion. The dissection arm can have a longitudinal axis and be moveable between a low-profile state and a deployed state. In the deployed state, a portion of the arm can flex outwardly away from the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The arm is configured to be deployed within a space within a vessel wall such that, as the arm moves from the low-profile state to the deployed state, the arm pushes against vessel wall tissue at a periphery of the space, thereby separating tissue at the periphery to form a dissection pocket having a predetermined shape.

  • Patent number: 10624785
Abstract: A hand-held aspiration device is provided which has a relatively small suction volume along a suction path to improve responsiveness of the aspiration device when the device is activated. The device may be manually powered and may be provided without electronic controls. The device has a suction path which may be purged into a disposal enclosure to reduce the volume of material under the influence of the suction pressure during the procedure. The suction source may also be part of the hand-held unit to further reduce the suction path and suction volume.
