  • Publication number: 20240150049
Abstract: An apparatus for packing a plurality of filled produce trays into a transport container, such as a box or a carton, without bruising the produce in the process. The produce packing system includes an infeed belt, produce information sensors and a processing assembly. The processing assembly receives information from the produce information sensors to calculate a container packing position. Using this information, the produce packing system clamps onto a filled produce tray from an infeed belt and moves the filled produce tray downward into a transport container at a predetermined height to place the filled produce tray into the transport container.

  • Publication number: 20240120047
Abstract: A system receives medical data from multiple physiological monitor devices in various forms and formats. A data normalization process identifies each attribute type in the medical data reported by each device and assigns a unique attribute identifier. All parameters associated with an attribute are also identified and assigned a unique parameter identifier. The data normalization process uses this information to create a standardized data set for analysis. A rules processing engine applies alert and reporting rules to the standardized data set to generate a patient report and alerts for patient data that is beyond thresholds defined by the alert rules. The system provides default alert rules that may be overridden by clinic rule or manufacturer rules. Artificial intelligence (AI) principles may be applied using training set(s) of data to teach the rules processing engine to use the AI alert rules for data analysis.

  • Publication number: 20240099845
Abstract: Described herein are methods and apparatus for approximating targeted tissue using locking sutures. The locking sutures can be configured to receive suture ends that are interweaved through portions of the locking sutures. In a pre-deployment configuration, a locking suture can slide along suture tails and can be positioned at a target location within a target region. Once a desired position and/or tension is achieved, the locking suture can be transitioned to a post-deployment configuration where the locking suture constricts around the suture tails to inhibit relative movement between the suture tails and the locking suture. A visualization system can be used to provide visual feedback with respect to approximating the targeted tissue and the locking sutures.

  • Patent number: 11939565
Abstract: Provided herein is a method for incubating living cells, in accordance with principles of the disclosure, may include the steps of: (a) providing a pressurized gas to a medium reservoir, the pressurized gas providing an impetus that moves a growth medium in the medium reservoir to a bioreactor chamber via a first incoming fluid line connecting the medium reservoir to the bioreactor chamber; (b) simultaneously or subsequently to step (a), providing a pressurized gas to a cell reservoir holding a suspension of the living cells, the pressurized gas providing an impetus that moves the suspension to the bioreactor chamber via a second incoming fluid line connecting the cell reservoir to the bioreactor chamber; and (c) incubating the growth medium and the living cells in the bioreactor chamber, under conditions compatible with cell viability.

  • Publication number: 20230325446
Abstract: Described is a system and method for enabling visual search for information. With each selection of a search term, additional search terms are dynamically selected and presented to the user in conjunction with results matching the currently selected search terms. Likewise, a selected search term may be tokenized and a graphical token presented to the user to represent the selected search term.

  • Publication number: 20220343394
Abstract: This application describes a system and process for providing object identifiers relating to real world objects to users based on the location of the user and the anticipated interested of the user in an object within a defined distance of the user. For example, if the user is within a retail store, a portable device associated with the user may detect or receive a beacon transmitted from a location within the retail store and object identifiers representative of objects within the store may be generated and provided to the user. In some implementations, only object identifier representative of items determined to be of likely interest to the user may be provided for presentation to the user.

  • Patent number: 10152199
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems and methods that enable users to easily take action on objects through use of a contextual menu. The contextual menu may be independent of the application and/or device through which the object is accessed and allows the user to perform actions with respect to an object. The selected action may be locally performed and/or performed at a location remote from the client device.

  • Publication number: 20170027269
Abstract: An apparatus is for use with a hat configured to be operatively received by the head of a user. The apparatus includes (and is not limited to) a head-contact assembly being configured to be operatively supported by the hat in such a way that the head-contact assembly operatively contacts the head once the hat is operatively received by the head. The head-contact assembly includes a moisture-management media configured to: (A) receive, at least in part, moisture from the head once the head-contact assembly is positioned to operatively contact the head, and (B) convey, at least in part, moisture away from the head-contact assembly and from the head in such a way that moisture accumulation in the head-contact assembly is reduced, at least in part.

  • Patent number: 8823701
Abstract: Systems and methods for substantially contemporaneously presenting a distributed simulation at multiple computing devices. A first computing device controls an object in the simulation. A second computing device generates a visual representation of the object associated with a visual status. The second computing device generates a predicted status and receives an update including new status from the first computing device. A portion of the predicted status is set equal to a portion of the new status, and a discrepancy between the predicted and visual statuses is determined. When the discrepancy is greater than a first threshold, at least one velocity of the predicted status may be modified. When the discrepancy is greater than a second threshold, the visual status is modified based at least in part on the predicted status. A new visual representation of the object is rendered based at least in part on the visual status, and displayed.
