  • Patent number: 8346718
Abstract: A system and method for synchronizing records stored in differing formats in a shared data environment. One aspect of the invention involves distinguishing a record without regard to its format. Once a record is introduced into the environment, it is detected. A record file is generated and associated with the event. A record file typically includes a record tag uniquely identifying a given record in the shared data environment and a record type indicating information such as whether or not the record represents a recurring event as well as the format of the record. A record file also contains data indicating the status of the particular event, that is, whether it is new, unchanged, modified, or deleted. When synchronizing, only those records with equivalent record tags are compared. The record type and status are then used to guide the synchronization of equivalent records.

  • Publication number: 20070109568
Abstract: A method and apparatus for printing an image includes separating the image into colors, partitioning each one of the colors into data blocks, and transferring the data blocks to a printer in an order that the printer will apply the colors to a print medium by transferring, before each one of a plurality of time intervals, one of the data blocks for each one of the colors that will be applied to the print medium during the one of the plurality of time intervals.

  • Publication number: 20060105714
Abstract: A printer comprises a print mechanism and a wireless communication module including a wireless transceiver and a configuration module. The configuration module is adapted to electronically query at least one available wireless device to determine at least one wireless security parameter of the at least one available wireless device and to receive a response from the queried at least one available wireless device, via the wireless transceiver, for configuring the printer for wireless association in a wireless computing network including the at least one available wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20050073705
Abstract: The software on the host machine examines a pixel, either alone or in relation to adjacent pixels. Based on the image data contained in the pixel or group of pixels, a multi-bit value is generated that can be used by the printing device to easily reproduce the necessary detail of the original pixel. The multi-bit value also contains print engine control parameters to handle items such as toner miser mode, toner explosion, edge roll off, etc. The multi-bit value can be generated algorithmically by using a lookup table or by some combination of these methods.

  • Publication number: 20040122989
Abstract: In a system that includes a host computer and a peripheral device, a command code program monitors the I/O interfaces for changes in device state. When a device function is required, a message is sent to the host computer for a download of the code necessary to execute the requested function. The code is downloaded and executed by the peripheral device. When the function completes, the device function code is removed and command code continues monitoring the system.
