  • Patent number: 9742568
Abstract: An information handling system (IHS) prevents execution of corrupted bootup instructions in flash memory. A memory component contains basic input/output system (BIOS) instructions to execute during boot up of the IHS. A host processor is in communication with the memory component via the system interconnect to execute the BIOS instructions to configure the IHS. A support processor executes instructions to configure the IHS to: (a) calculate a current hash value for the BIOS instructions; (b) access a trusted encrypted hash value and the unique key from a secure storage; (c) decrypt the trusted encrypted hash value using the unique key to obtain a trusted hash value; (d) determine whether the current hash value is identical to the trusted hash value; and (e) allow execution of the BIOS instructions by the host processor in response to determining that the encrypted current hash value is identical to the trusted hash value.

  • Publication number: 20160345703
Abstract: A hair sectioning clip for quickly and easily inserting/removing multiple sections of hair during a cut, color or styling process. The lower jaw and upper jaw are manipulated into an open and shut position by a set of finger grip structures. The secondary jaw is manipulated into an open and shut position only by the force of sliding hair sections in between and out from the space between the upward curved tip and upper jaw. The upward curved tip allows the user to easily insert and remove multiple sections of hair quickly without the use of a second hand.

  • Publication number: 20140144460
Abstract: A hair clip includes a lower body with a lower jaw, a lower joint, and a lower finger grip structure. An upper body includes an upper jaw, a first upper joint, a second upper joint, and an upper finger grip structure, where the first upper joint is rotatably coupled to the lower joint by a primary hinge pin which secures the primary spring in place. A secondary body includes a secondary jaw and a secondary joint, and an upward curved edge, where the secondary joint is rotatably coupled to the second upper joint by a secondary hinge pin which secures the secondary spring in place. A primary spring couples to the lower body and the upper body, where the primary spring is configured to push the upper jaw towards the lower jaw. A secondary spring couples to the upper body and the secondary body, where the secondary spring is configured to push the secondary jaw towards the upper jaw.

  • Patent number: 8035752
Abstract: According to various embodiments, an event production kit is provided that includes storage cases for storing production equipment, such as cameras, monitors, and microphones, and an electronic production equipment case for storing an audio mixer, a video switcher, and computers for encoding and distributing the production. In addition, in one embodiment, the electronic production equipment case includes a vertical panel that includes a plurality of ports that are pre-wired to the audio mixer, video switcher, and the computers for coupling the production equipment together. The storage cases and the pre-wired panel facilitate transporting the kit to the event location and reduce the amount of time and resources required for setting up the equipment prior to the event, according to various embodiments. In addition, the selection of the type of equipment included in the kit, according to one embodiment, provides for a high quality, lower cost production than is currently available.

  • Publication number: 20090261179
Abstract: An air freshener replacement bottle having an open ended, externally threaded neck a wick holding sleeve which press fits onto the open end of the bottle. The sleeve has an outwardly directed flange with a lower face that abuts against an upper end of the bottle neck. An internally threaded cap is threaded onto the neck of the bottle compressing the wick holder flange forming a seal. The cap has a cylindrical wall smaller in diameter than the lower portion of the cap, protruding from its top. The cylindrical wall contains at least one annular groove on it outside. A wick extends through the sleeve and the cylindrical wall with one end projecting into the cavity of the bottle and the opposite end exposed to the air. Another cap whose internal diameter is sized slightly larger than the cylindrical wall on the first cap has at least one internal annular rib sized slightly smaller than said at least one groove in said cylindrical wall.

  • Publication number: 20090070407
Abstract: According to various embodiments, an event management system is provided that provides a single interface through which a production team can schedule a production of an event, produce the production of the event, and direct distribution of the production. For example, in one embodiment, the event management system provides a web interface through which a member of the production team can create, or build an event, by specifying the name of the event, type of event, specific details about the event, whether the event will be broadcast live, and the date and time of the broadcast for the event. The event management system stores this information and provides at least a portion of it to a distributor that will be distributing (or broadcasting) the event to viewers. In addition, the event management system displays a pre-production checklist to guide the production team through the testing and production set-up process.

  • Publication number: 20080047021
Abstract: An interactive communication apparatus, which connects to a computer, comprises an interactive communication device, having a tag, that is removably placed on or adjacent to an interactive communication device holder, having a sensor, wherein the tag communicates information to the sensor. The interactive communication system enables a user to transfer, store or retrieve information about and/or to a person that is identified with that interactive communication device. Once the interactive communication device is placed on or adjacent to the interactive communication device holder, certain communication applications, which include, photo slideshow, chat, e-mails, music, videos, and RSS feed, launch. The user can terminate the applications by removing the interactive communication device from the interactive communication device holder.
