    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly comprising a receptacle connector and a pin header is disclosed. The receptacle connector is attached to wires and the pin header can be secured to a printed circuit board. The receptacle connector is secured in the shrouded pin header by a double acting connector latch extending upwardly from one wall of the header housing. Connector latch comprises a yoke section with upwardly extending deflectable arms and a centrally disposed downwardly extending deflectable cantilever beam. The latching protrusion engages a trough located on the exterior of the receptacle connector.

    Abstract: A module is disclosed in kit form for tapping off selected telephone lines from a receptacle connector connected to respective conductors of a telephone cable. A face plate is mounted over the receptacle connector. The face plate includes plural plug receiving openings opening into a plug receiving cavity of the connector. A two piece plug having opposed pairs of plug contact terminals is insertable through a selected opening of the face plate to connect the plug contact terminals with the receptacle contact terminals. A telephone jack approved for use in the National Telephone Network is provided with insulated electrical leads which are connected to the plug contact terminals.

    Abstract: An improved jack is disclosed for modular telephone interconnection. One or more shorting components are plugably mounted in a wall of the jack to common electrically selected beam contacts which are mounted in a base portion of the jack which protrude outwardly for plugable electrical connection in a circuit board. The contacts are stamped and formed from metal strip and then stripe plated with gold along the areas to be engaged by a plug type connector intermated with the jack.
