Publication number: 20220235434Abstract: The present invention related to generally to a process to recover metals from waste electronics, and more particularly a process to recover gold from waste electronics. The gold is first delaminated in a first step using a solution containing a weak acid in combination with an oxidizer. The second step isolates and purifies the delaminated gold from the chip debris using solvents, water and a wetting agent/surfactant. The proposed two step method of gold recovery from electronic waste is effective without the need for strong or costly chemicals or leaching.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2022Publication date: July 28, 2022Inventors: JODI LYNN WALSH, WEIMEI LUO, MARK THOMAS BELLINO

Patent number: 10457055Abstract: One example provides a replaceable cartridge for user-installation in a printer system. The replaceable cartridge includes a cartridge body, a cartridge lid and a lid manifold. The cartridge lid covers the cartridge body and includes a lid aperture to supply printing fluid into the cartridge body. The lid manifold is mounted to the cartridge lid and includes a lid manifold input port to be fluidly connected to and disconnected from a carriage manifold of the printer system. The state of the fluid connection depends on a pivot position of the carriage manifold, if the replaceable cartridge is installed in the printer system.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2015Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Aidan O'Reilly, Bryan Murphy, Michael Reynolds, Frank Campbell, Lynn Walsh, Christopher Wallace, Michael E. Publication number: 20170212439Abstract: A toner composition and a method of making a toner composition wherein toner particles having an average size range of 1-25 ?m may be mixed with an extra particulate additives including large silica particles having a primary particle size in the range of 60 nm to 120 nm, medium fumed silica particles having a primary particle size in the range of 30 nm to 60 nm, antimony oxide doped tin oxide (Sb2O5 doped SnO2) coated titania conductive additive and acicular titania oxide. Optionally small silica having a primary particle size in the range of 2 nm to 20 nm may be mixed with the medium silica, large silica, titania conductive additive and the acicular titania oxide. This use of this particular set of titania and silica extra particulate additives in the toner generates less waste toner, increasing toner usage efficiency and significantly reduces toner consumption without impacting image quality and charge characteristics.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2017Publication date: July 27, 2017Inventors: KATSURI RANGAN SRINIVASAN, CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL BENNETT, MATTHEW DAVID HEID, ANN P HOLLOWAY, VLADIMIR KANTOROVICH, JODI LYNN WALSH, PETER NIKOLAVICH YARON

Patent number: 5699522Abstract: A data processing system includes a digital computer that has a plurality of data processing programs. A set of upgraded stations is coupled to the computer which generate messages that employ a relatively simple format to select the data processing programs; and a set of older stations is also coupled to the computer which generate messages that employ a complex format to select the data processing programs. A message routing program in the computer receives all of the messages from the stations, analyzes each message that has the simple format to identify the selected data processing program, and sends the message directly to the selected program. By comparison, the message routing program sends each message that has the complex format to a secondary routing program; and this secondary routing program analyzes each message which it receives, identifies the selected data processing program, and sends the message to the selected program.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 1996Date of Patent: December 16, 1997Assignee: Unisys CorporationInventors: Clifford Shiroku Shimizu, Patricia Lynn Walsh, Anthony La Vel Crider
