    Abstract: A friction sled for measuring the co-efficient of friction between a friction pad mounted to the friction sled and test surface. The friction sled includes a load cell. A displacement force is applied to the friction sled and is measured by the friction cell. The friction cell is coupled to a controller that calculates the co-efficient of friction based on the displacement force and the weight of the friction sled.
