    Abstract: A patient monitoring system collects data regarding physiological characteristics of an individual and analyzes that data to determine its validity and to identify any conditions present in the individual. The system can also perform a trend analysis to predict the onset of a condition in the individual. If a condition is present, an alert may be generated and the system may be used to diagnose the condition and determine a treatment plan based on a database of information collected from other patients using a similar system.
