    Abstract: A data acquisition method and system for obtaining digital samples are provided. A first digital sample related to an analog signal is obtained after a first time period. A second digital sample related to the analog signal is obtained after a second time period. The second digital sample is provided on at least one output if magnitudes of the first digital sample and the second digital sample differ from one another by a predetermined threshold.
