  • Publication number: 20120111349
Abstract: A finger shield combination and method for using the same for improved dental hygiene during the flossing of teeth. First and second finger shields have tubular sheaths for receiving first and second fingers. Adhesive tabs can be adhered partially to the tubular sheaths and partially to the fingers of the user to constrict the tubular sheaths and retain the finger shields. The adhesive tabs can be angled proximally past the proximal ends of the finger shields and can separably couple the first and second finger shields. The first finger shield can be applied to a forefinger, the second finger shield can be applied to a thumb, and a third finger shield can be applied to the middle finger. At least one stave disposed longitudinally along the tubular sheath of one of the finger shields can prevent constriction by the dental floss.

  • Patent number: 8042556
Abstract: A dental hygiene apparatus for enabling a flossing of teeth. The apparatus can include a dispensing member and an accumulating member. The dispensing and accumulating members can each comprise a ring with an aperture for receiving a finger. Activating switches can selectively enable a dispensing of dental floss from the dispensing member and a retraction of dental floss relative to the accumulating member. A bobbin within the accumulating member can be rotated by a coil spring that can be rewound. The apertures in the rings can be varied. A floss retaining member can alternatively be retained by a ring, an opposed hook arrangement, or any other arrangement coupled to the dispensing member. Dental floss can be dispensed from a distal end of a post. The dental hygiene apparatus can further include as part of a unified system a finger shield arrangement, which can comprise first and second tubular members.

  • Publication number: 20100064596
Abstract: A three-dimensional documentation lab chamber and universal, ultra-high definition, accurate color, light, and object rendering, advising, and coordinating system for displaying colors, objects, and light and enabling an accurate rendering of a color, room, building, object, person, or landscape. The system includes an image procuring device, a memory device, a processor and a display device. The system can combine reference images with display images in a consistent, scaled relationship and can display those images with a variety of lighting effects. Furthermore, the system can make design suggestions in light of designer input, design research, and historic information in furtherance of design goals while accommodating constraining elements. Images can be procured by use of the three-dimensional documentation lab chamber to ensure true-to-life depictions.

Abstract: A universal, ultra-high definition, accurate color, light, and object rendering, advising, and coordinating system for displaying colors, objects, and light and enabling an accurate rendering of a color, room, building, object, person, or landscape. The system includes an image procuring device for procuring input images, a memory device, a processor and a display device with all elements calibrated and coordinated to ensure that a color viewed and procured in situ by the image procuring device will be identically displayed on the display device. The system can combine reference images with display images in a consistent, scaled relationship and can display those images with a variety of lighting effects. Furthermore, the system can make design suggestions in light of designer input, design research, and historic information in furtherance of design goals while accommodating constraining elements.
