Abstract: A firearm buffer system that reduces the rate of fire of a full automatic firearm that has a gas port wear and reduces the adverse effect of bolt bounce. The firearm buffer system includes a buffer assembly that has an elongated buffer body having an elongated hollow interior with a dosed end and an open end and a plurality of weights sized and shaped to reciprocate in the elongated hollow interior of the buffer body. Springs are located in the elongated hollow interior of the buffer body for positioning at least some of the weights apart from each other and a movable buffer plunger is reciprocally mounted in the open end of the elongated hollow interior of the buffer body. The movable buffer plunger is sized so that it does not come into operation until a predetermined amount of wear occurs at the firearm's gas port. In one embodiment a spacer member is provided to permit the buffer assembly to be used with a firearm having a full sized buttstock.

Abstract: Firearm barrel change apparatus for a firearm having a receiver and a barrel with a portion configured to slide into the receiver. The firearm barrel change apparatus also includes a barrel receiving nut having provisions for slidably receiving the inner portion of a firearm barrel and a barrel retention member. The barrel retention member has a portion thereof sized and shaped to cooperate with the barrel receiving nut to lock the firearm barrel to the receiver. A special handguard assembly is also provided that allows the barrel retention member to be used with the barrel receiving nut without removing the handguard assembly.

Abstract: A small arm magazine for small arms having a magazine well including a generally drum shaped housing portion and a projecting cartridge feed chute portion that projects outwardly from the drum shaped housing portion substantially tangentially to its outer circumferential portion. The interior of the generally drum shaped housing portion is shaped to guide cartridges in generally a curved spiral path. A large portion of the drum shaped housing portion is located to one side of the cartridge feed chute portion and a gap exists between the cartridge feed chute and the adjacent portion of the generally drum shaped housing portion to permit the cartridge feed chute portion to be readily inserted into the magazine well of the small arm.

Abstract: A muzzle attachment for a firearm which is adapted to be secured to the muzzle end portion of the barrel of the firearm. The muzzle attachment has a rearward portion locatable near the muzzle end portion of the firearm barrel which is configured to trap gases that exit from the muzzle portion of the firearm barrel when the firearm is fired. The muzzle attachment has another portion locatable further from the muzzle end portion of the firearm barrel and forward of the gas trapping portion which is configured to act as both a muzzle brake to reduce recoil of the firearm and as a compensator to reduce upward movement of the muzzle portion of the firearm barrel when the firearm is fired. The muzzle attachment also has provisions for reducing the noise that the shooter senses when he fires the firearm.
