  • Publication number: 20150033460
Abstract: Flushable urinary device for directing urine into a toilet from a standing user comprises a flushable funnel. The funnel helps prevent urine-splatter on and around the toilet and improves hygiene. The user holds the funnel at his or her urethra and directs urine into the toilet. Then, the user drops the used funnel into the toilet and flushes the toilet. The funnel, made of flushable and bio-degradable material, disintegrates in the sewer system. The material is configured to retain its substantial strength and shape temporarily when wetted. The funnel has tail or lip adjacent one of its ends to help hold the funnel. The funnel may be of different suitable shapes, sizes and materials. An apparatus, placed on water tank of a toilet, contains a supply of the funnels for users. The apparatus also stores extra flushable funnels and toilet paper rolls.

  • Patent number: 8918921
Abstract: Flushable urinary device for directing urine into a commode from a standing user comprises an inverted flushable funnel. The inverted funnel ensures picking up the funnel singularly from a nested stack of the funnels. A standing user directs urine into the funnel by keeping upper end of the funnel at urethra and lower end of the funnel relative to the commode to direct urine from the user to the commode. At least one bendable tail portion extends outwardly from the upper end of the funnel and forms a handle for the user to hold the funnel when directing urine into the commode. The funnel is made of flushable bio-degradable material configured to retain a strength and shape temporarily when wetted. It is biodegradable in sewer system. The funnel prevents urine-splatter outside the commode and provides a toilet flushable hygienic means for directing urine into a commode from a standing user.

  • Publication number: 20130036543
Abstract: Splatter-free urinal device and methods prevent urine splatters around a commode. The splatters occur during urinating standing. The device makes toilet cleaning easier, quicker and cheaper. The device is a water-flushable inverted bio-degradable funnel with tails at top smaller end, acts as handles. The funnel has wet strength and water repellency but disintegrates in drains. The funnel is part of a nested stack of the funnels. In manual method, a user removes a funnel by its tails from supply and suspends it above the commode. Then the user urinates through the funnel, drops it into the commode after use, and flushes the commode. In power-driven method, upon activation, a power-driven arm removes a funnel and suspends it above the commode. The user urinates through the funnel into the commode. Upon second activation, the funnel falls into the commode and the arm returns to its stored position, maintaining the commode unobstructed.

  • Patent number: 8166579
Abstract: The commode-urinal prevents urine-splatters around the commode, and stores extra toilet rolls and flushable funnels. In power-driven commode-urinal, a user activates a sensor; a jaw clamps a flushable funnel to an arm. The arm moves out of dispenser dispensing and suspending the funnel above the commode-bowl. The user urinates through the funnel, which channels urine into the bowl preventing urine-splatters around the commode. After urinating, the user activates the sensor; the jaw retracts releasing used funnel into the bowl. The arm retracts into the dispenser clearing the commode to function unimpeded. Flushing drains away the funnel. In manually-operated commode-urinal, when ready to urinate, the user pulls a funnel from the dispenser. Keeping bottom end of the funnel in middle of the bowl, the user urinates through it. After urinating, the user drops the funnel into the bowl and flushes. The funnels have wet strength, water repellency, but degrade in drains.

  • Publication number: 20100223720
Abstract: A urinal apparatus for a commode converts the commode into a temporary urinal. Upon its first motion activation by a standing user, a reversible jaw moves forward and holds a biodegradable funnel against an end plate of a movable arm. Simultaneously, the reversible jaw pushes first switch causing the movable arm to move forward dispensing and suspending the funnel above the commode bowl. The user urinates through the funnel, which channels the urine down into the commode bowl preventing urine spillage around the commode. When through urinating, and second motion activation by the user, the reversible jaw moves backward releasing the used funnel, which drops into the commode bowl. Immediately following, the reversible jaw pushes second switch causing the movable arm to retract into the apparatus leaving the commode to perform its original function unimpeded. Flushing drains away used funnel in sewage system served by the commode where it degrades.
