  • Publication number: 20220153065
Abstract: A tire has a tread portion bound with an intended tire rotational direction. The tread portion includes a first tread edge and a second tread edge. The tread portion is provided with first oblique grooves extending obliquely toward a heel side in the tire rotational direction from the first tread edge toward a tire equator side, second oblique grooves extending obliquely toward the heel side from the second tread edge toward the tire equator side, and first circumferential grooves each connecting a respective pair of the first oblique grooves adjacent to each other in a tire circumferential direction. The first oblique grooves have the tire equator side end portions intersecting with the second oblique grooves. The second oblique grooves have the tire equator side end portions intersecting with the first oblique grooves. The first circumferential grooves have groove widths each increasing toward the heel side in the tire rotational direction.

  • Publication number: 20220063337
Abstract: A band 20 of a tire 2 includes a full band 48 covering an entirety of a belt 14, and a pair of edge bands 50 disposed so as to be spaced apart from each other in an axial direction and each covering an end 46 of the belt 14. A cross-section of the band 20 includes a large number of cross-sections of a band strip 52. In a cross-section of the full band 48, a plurality of cross-sections of the band strip 52 are aligned with a gap therebetween. In a cross-section of each edge band 50, a plurality of cross-sections of the band strip 52 are aligned without any gap therebetween. An inner end 62 of each edge band 50 is located so as to be spaced apart from a bottom BT of a shoulder circumferential groove 24s in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 11207922
Abstract: A tire comprises a tread portion whose position when mounted on a vehicle is specified. The tread portion includes an inner crown land region defined between a crown main groove and an inner shoulder main groove. The inner crown land region includes crown lateral grooves, first inner crown sipes, second inner crown sipes each extending from the inner shoulder main groove toward the crown main groove and having an inner end terminating within the inner crown land region, and third inner crown sipes each extending from the crown main groove toward the inner shoulder main groove and having an outer end terminating within the inner crown land region. The crown lateral grooves each have a length in a tire axial direction larger than that of each of the second inner crown sipes.

  • Patent number: 10780743
Abstract: A tire comprises a tread portion 2. The tread portion 2 comprises two crown land regions 6 and two shoulder land regions 7 divided by a crown main groove 3 and a pair of shoulder main grooves 4 and 5 arranged one by one on each side of the crown main groove 3. Each of the two crown land regions 6 is provided with a plurality of sipes 15 each having a width less than 1.5 mm. The sipes 15 of each of the two crown land regions 6 include only semi-open sipes 18 each having one end connected with one of the main grooves and the other end terminating within the land region. The sipes 15 of the two crown land regions 6 are inclined in a same direction with respect to a tire axial direction.

  • Patent number: 6180050
Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to provide a solid model creation apparatus that is small in size and inexpensive. A multiplicity of blue LEDs are prepared, optical fibers are connected thereto, and GRIN lenses are arranged at the ends of the tips of the respective optical fibers to constitute an exposing head 23. The exposing head 23 forms images of the end faces of the respective optical fibers in a photocurable resin exposure region 24 as light spots 55. The diameter of a light spot 55 is, for example, 0.5 mm, but the size of a pixel 71 within the exposure region 24 is much smaller; for example, 62.5&mgr;. The multiplicity of optical fibers at the exposing head 23 are arrayed in a matrix such that they are displaced in staggered fashion so that respective light spots 55 are lined up at the pitch 62.5&mgr; of the pixels 71 in the primary scan (Y-axis) direction.
