  • Patent number: 9579962
Abstract: A battery protection structure has a battery disposed in a vehicle cabin, a vehicle component disposed in the vehicle cabin to be located below the battery, and a protective member disposed between the battery and the vehicle component. The protective member has one end fixed to a vehicle body and another end arranged between the battery and the vehicle component to be thereby cantilevered on the vehicle body. The battery has a battery cell, and a battery case that houses the battery cell and has at least a lower surface facing the protective member. The protective member has a fixation portion formed at the one end and fixed to the vehicle body, and a contact portion formed at the other end and configured to come into contact with the battery case when load is inputted to the protective member.

  • Patent number: 7162868
Abstract: A heat shield structure of an exhaust manifold and a catalyst has a flange which is provided in a connecting portion connecting the exhaust manifold and catalyst and forms an open channel, an exhaust manifold heat shield member which covers an upper surface of the exhaust manifold, and a catalyst heat shield member which covers an upper surface of the catalyst. In the heat shield structure, an open side of the channel faces to the catalyst's side, a rear end of the exhaust manifold heat shield member is arranged on a vehicle body upper side of an end portion of the flange, and a front end of the catalyst heat shield member is arranged on a vehicle body floor side of the end portion of the flange. By this structure, heat from the exhaust manifold and catalyst can be efficiently released.
