  • Patent number: 9293096
Abstract: An image display device is provided which is capable of improving reproducibility of a white color. An RGB video signal is converted by a gamma converting section into three color luminance values and the maximum luminance value and minimum luminance value of the three color luminance values are calculated by a Min/Max calculating section. The first four color luminance values are calculated by an RGB luminance calculating section. A scaling factor is calculated by a scaling factor calculating section based on the first four color luminance values and the maximum luminance value. The second four color luminance values are calculated by an RGBW scaling luminance calculating section based on the first four color luminance values and on the scaling factor. An RGBW video signal corresponding to a gray level value of four color is generated by a reverse gamma converting section.

  • Patent number: 8610703
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device is provided which is capable of realizing high-quality display screen with low power consumption. A charge equilibration control signal VCST is outputted by a control unit (for example, driving timing generating section) for charge equilibration time in accordance with a video signal. At time of change in polarities of common voltages vCOM1 and vCOM2, a charge equilibration unit causes a shorting of a circuit between common electrodes COM1 and COM2 in accordance with the charge equilibration control signal so that a charge equilibration occurs between the common electrodes COM1 and COM2. The switching section turns off common voltages vCOM1 and vCOM respectively to the common electrodes COM1 and COM2. According to the charge equilibration control signal, the connection is turned on between the common electrodes COM1 and COM2.

  • Patent number: 7471269
Abstract: Provided is a method for driving an electroluminescence display panel in which data electrode lines and scan electrode lines cross each other with predetermined gaps to form electroluminescence cells in the crossing areas. The method includes performing a preliminary charging stage in which the signal input terminals of the data electrode lines are switched and electrically disconnected from a data driving unit, and the other terminals of the data electrode lines are switched and electrically connected to one another in the initial stage of each parallel driving period. The preliminary charging stage is performed in the following parallel driving period when the data of the present parallel driving period and the data of the following parallel driving period are different.

  • Patent number: 6783056
Abstract: Fluoride-based flux is uniformly dispersed in and mixed with synthetic resin, which has fluidity at room temperature and sublimes at a temperature lower than a brazing temperature, so as to constitute 40 to 70 wt. % of the mixture, thereby producing coating material. This coating material is applied to coating belts which undergo rotation and is transferred from the coating belts to the surface of the aluminum material. The coating material has high viscosity and stably adheres to the transferred areas.

  • Patent number: 6199750
Abstract: The top peaks of the outer fin are coated with slime-like flux. A sandwich unit is assembled from the outer fin and the tube plates by attaching the tube plates to the respective sides of the outer fin such that the surfaces of the tube plates having the butt bead faces formed thereon face inward. The butt bead faces on the respective tube plates on either side of the sandwich unit are coated with the slime-like flux. A plurality of sandwich units whose tube plates are coated with the flux are laminated and brazed, and the thus-formed assembly is heated in a heating furnace, to thereby braze together the tube plate pairs and the tube plates connected to the outer fin.

  • Patent number: 6075325
Abstract: A drive circuit for a piezoelectric transformer includes a master block 24 having a drive frequency control circuit for controlling the frequency of a drive voltage for a piezoelectric transformer, at least one slave block 25 receiving an output of the above mentioned drive frequency control circuit and having a drive voltage control circuit for controlling a peak value of a drive voltage for a piezoelectric transformer, a circuit for PWM-modulating the drive voltages applied to the piezoelectric transformers, and driving the drive voltages in the same phase, and a circuit for suppressing a harmonic component of a light adjusting frequency included in the drive voltages for the piezoelectric transformers. With this arrangement, when a plurality of cold cathode tubes are driven by using piezoelectric transformer inverters, it is possible to eliminate the limit in the number of tubes lighted and the inclination of the brightness, and to prevent a flickering and the generation of an audible sound.

  • Patent number: 6057631
Abstract: A piezoelectric transducing inverter which drives a piezoelectric transducer in high efficiency and is widely used in general and small sized and low cost and is capable of preventing the generation of smoke etc. is provided. Signals outputted from a frequency divider are inputted to the gates of two switching transistors respectively and a piezoelectric transducer is driven. At the piezoelectric transducing inverter from which a transduced voltage is outputted, at the time when the abnormal state that the electric connection between the frequency divider and either gate of the two switching transistors is lost occurs, by biasing the switching transistor, a current flows to a fuse and blows the fuse and prevents the generation of smoke etc. from the switching transistors caused by flowing a large current.
