  • Publication number: 20230170572
Abstract: Each of a plurality of units includes a plurality of battery cells and a supporting member. The plurality of battery cells are arranged side by side in the first direction and each of the plurality of battery cells has a prismatic shape. The supporting member supports the plurality of battery cells. Each of the plurality of battery cells has a housing having an upper surface on which an electrode terminal is disposed and a lower surface facing the upper surface along a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. When each of the plurality of units is placed on the first plane, the supporting member is capable of supporting the plurality of battery cells such that the second direction is substantially parallel to a normal direction of the first plane and the electrode terminal is oriented in a direction away from the first plane.

  • Patent number: 11635730
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus, a control device functions as a controller and a user presence/absence determiner. When accepting an instruction to execute a print job through a touch panel, the controller controls operations of a sheet feed device, a conveyance device, and an image forming device to allow a document image represented by image data generated by a document reading device to be formed on a sheet to make a printed matter and allow the printed matter to be discharged to a sheet output tray. When the user presence/absence determiner determines that a user is present, the controller controls, before printing for at least a last sheet in the print job, the operations of the sheet feed device and the conveyance device to allow a sheet to be discharged to the sheet output tray without allowing the image forming device to form the document image on the sheet.

  • Patent number: 10887485
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a speech input device, a display device, an image forming device, and a control device. The display device displays an image expressed in a preset language for display. The control device functions as a controller that operates in either one of a normal operating mode and an emergency operating mode and recognizes, based on a speech input to the speech input device, a language of the input speech. During operation in the normal operating mode, the controller recognizes a language of the speech input to the speech input device and sets the recognized language as the language for display. During operation in the emergency operating mode, the controller recognizes a language of the speech input to the speech input device and allows the image forming device to form an image representing evacuation information expressed in the recognized language.

  • Patent number: 10699000
Abstract: An electronic device shifts between a locked state in which use of a function is restricted and an unlocked state in which the function is usable. The electronic device includes a touch panel and a controller. The touch panel displays a pattern entry screen including first grid points and a second grid point having the same shape and color as the first grid points. The controller acquires a movement path of a detection target on the pattern entry screen and sequentially specifies first grid points passed by the movement path among the first grid points. The controller acquires entry pattern information based on the specified first grid points. The controller determines whether or not the entry pattern information matches registered pattern information. When the controller determines that the entry pattern information matches the registered pattern information, the electronic device shifts from the locked state to the unlocked state.

  • Patent number: 9847563
Abstract: A first power storage section and a second power storage section are connected in parallel. The first power storage section includes a first non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery. The second power storage section includes parallel-connected second non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries. Each of the second non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries has a higher energy density than that of the first non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery. In a case where the second power storage section is discharged at a current value corresponding to a first assumed maximum discharge current value, the parallel-connected number of the second non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries is set such that a discharge rate of each of the second non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries becomes the preset reference discharge rate or less.
