  • Publication number: 20240165891
Abstract: A tubular body (1) made of a fiber-reinforced plastic and used as a structural material of a vehicle includes corners (4) extending along an axis of the tubular body (1) on an outer circumferential surface thereof. The tubular body (1) is a tubular laminate that is formed by laminating a fabric layer (12) formed by laminating fabric materials and unidirectional material layers (11, 13). Each fabric material includes a fabric in which reinforcing fibers are woven and a plastic with which the fabric is impregnated. Each unidirectional material layer (11, 13) includes reinforcing fibers oriented in one direction and a plastic with which the reinforcing fibers are impregnated. The reinforcing fibers of each unidirectional material layer (11, 13) are oriented along the axis of the tubular laminate.

  • Patent number: 5331214
Abstract: In a load control device of the present invention, an operation signal provided by any one of a group of input switches in an operation input section is converted into a serial signal by a signal transmitting section, and the serial signal is applied through a serial signal line to a signal receiving section. In response to the serial signal, the signal receiving section outputs a response signal for driving a load, or a headlamp or a running light. When no response signal is provided, a NAND circuit applies a signal to an automatic lamp control section to automatically control the lighting of the lamp. That is, when the signal transmitting and receiving system becomes out of order, the lighting of the lamps is automatically controlled, which eliminates difficulties encountered when a vehicle is run during night.

  • Patent number: 5187381
Abstract: A switch device for use in a power window for opening and closing a door glass of a vehicle. The switch device is driven by a driving apparatus and has a display unit for displaying whether the door glass can be opened or closed by means of an operating switch via the driving apparatus. Accordingly, it is possible to visually confirm whether or not the driving apparatus can be driven.

  • Patent number: 5165302
Abstract: A steering apparatus with a fixed pad operated by a driver of a vehicle includes spokes one end of which extend in a tapered manner from a steering shaft and to the other end of which an annular steering operation portion is secured; and a fixed pad accommodated in a tapered space formed by the spokes, wherein an interval between opposing surfaces of the spokes and the fixed pad is set to be substantially uniform, so as to prevent a foreign object from being caught between the opposing surfaces when the steering operation portion is operated.

  • Patent number: 5111006
Abstract: A switch device for a power driven seat of a vehicle wherein the position of the seat is adjusted by the driving force of a motor. A first control knob three-dimensionally representing the shape of the seat cushion and a second control knob three-dimensionally representing the shape of the seat back are provided. These knobs are capable of moving relative to each other, and the movement of each of the knobs by an occupant is detected by a limit switch. Therefore, when the passenger intends to move each portion of the seat, it is necessary to move the first and the second control knobs in the desired direction of the seat. As a result, the seat is moved.

  • Patent number: 4693558
Abstract: A rear view mirror assembly comprising a liquid crystal cell of guest-host type which consists of a layer of dichroic dyestuff added nematic liquid crystal and a pair of transparent plates sandwiching the liquid crystal therebetween. A transparent electrode is formed on the inside surface of each plate by means of conductive coating. A quarter wave phase difference filter is mounted on the backside of one of the plates. A flat mirror is mounted on the backside of the quarter wave phase difference filter. A photo-sensitive means receives light passing through the liquid crystal cell and an optical polarization filter in turn and produces a photo-detector signal. A control circuit controls voltage applied to the electrodes of liquid crystal cell so that the magnitude of photo-detector signal may become equal to the predetermined level. The predetermined level is changeable in accordance with the magnitude of detector signal produced by another photo-sensitive means for detecting circumjacent light.

  • Patent number: 4603946
Abstract: A reflection controllable view mirror device having an electro-optical assembly which changes its optical transmittance to vary quantity of light passing therethrough in accordance with the magnitude of the applied voltage, a control circuit to control the transmittance at a value so as to ensure predetermined uniform reflection under circumstances permitting transmittance to deviate from inherent one because of deterioration or the like. Another control circuit is provided to control to ensure the inherent transmittance for predetermined reflection under the same circumstances.
