Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a writing device for writing an image on the basis of image data thereof; a controller for controlling a writing position in a primary scanning direction by the writing device; a conveying device for conveying a recording material; and a position detecting sensor for detecting an edge of the recording material, which is conveyed by the conveying device in the primary scanning direction as an absolute position. The controller determines the writing position in the primary scanning direction by the writing device on the basis of a position of the edge of the recording material in the primary scanning direction detected by the position detecting sensor, and controls the writing position of the writing device in the primary scanning direction.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus has: an image memory for storing image data; an image recording device having an image recording position for recording an image onto a recording material at the image recording position; a conveying device for conveying the recording material to the image recording position; and an image correction device for correcting an angle of the image data in accordance with inclination of the recording material conveyed to the image recording position. An image is recorded on the recording material by the image recording device on the basis of the image data corrected by the image correction device.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a recording material accommodating device for accommodating recording materials; an image forming device for forming an image on the recording material; a conveyance section for conveying the recording material fed from the recording material accommodating device to the image forming device; a reversal and re-feeding device having a sheet reversal section and a sheet re-feeding section for conducting image formation on two sides of the recording material. After the image is formed by the image forming device on one side surface of the recording material conveyed from the recording material accommodating device through the conveyance section, the recording material is conveyed to the reversal and re-feeding device, and conveyed again to the image forming device through the sheet re-feeding section of the reversal and re-feeding device and the conveyance section, and an image is formed on the other side surface of the recording material by the image forming device.

Abstract: A developer replenishing apparatus includes: a developer storing container for storing a developer therein; a first driving source for rotating the developer storing container to supply the developer; a developer reservoir section for receiving the developer supplied from the developer storing container; a conveying screw for replenishing the developer in the developer reservoir section onto a developing device; a second driving source for driving the conveying screw; and a stirring member for stirring the developer in the developer reservoir section, the stirring member having a first and second one-way clutches provided on a driving shaft thereof. The stirring member is driven by the first driving source through the first one-way clutch, and driven by the second driving source through the second one-way clutch.

Abstract: A developing agent replenishing device includes: a developing agent storing container having a spiral protrusion in an interior thereof, including a container main body for storing therein a developing agent and a movable cover for opening or closing a developing agent discharging opening provided on one end of the container main body; a container mounting section to which the storing container is mounted, wherein the developing agent stored in the storing container is discharged by rotating the storing container; a developing agent reserving section for reserving therein the developing agent discharged from the storing container; a cover engagement portion for engaging with the movable cover when the storing container is mounted to the container mounting section; and a holding and moving device for holding a part of the storing container and for moving the storing container when the storing container is mounted to the container mounting section.
