Abstract: In certain embodiments, a protective cover includes a housing having a surface, and a latch mechanism hingeably coupled to the housing. The latch can include a top side and a bottom side, the bottom side configured to couple to and secure an input device to the surface of the housing. The latch can be configured to rotate, via the hinge coupling, between a first configuration and second configuration. In the first configuration, the top side of the latch can be flush with the surface of the housing and the bottom side embedded within the housing such that the latch does not protrude from the housing. In the second configuration, the latch can be rotated relative to the first configuration and protrude from the housing. The latch can be operable to be rotated open from the first configuration to the second configuration via the hinge coupling.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the invention include a double hinge for an electronic device case, with hinge stoppers integrally formed to prevent rotation beyond 180 degrees. Certain embodiments include a hinge comprising a first hinge plate, a second hinge plate, and a third hinge plate, where the first hinge plate is adapted to be pivotally engaged with the second hinge plate through the third hinge plate. The first and second hinge plates include two shaft bushings coaxially disposed and facing each other at confronting sides, and the third hinge plate comprises two shaft bushings on two opposite sides so that to coaxially dispose each shaft bushing of the third hinge plate with the shaft bushing respectively of the first and second hinge plate.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a data input device configured for use with one or more computing devices. The data input device includes a housing and a communications module coupled to the housing. The communication module is operable to establish and maintain a connection with one or more computing devices, and communicate instructions from the data input device to the one or more computing devices. The data input device also includes a plurality of input members disposed on the housing in at least five rows. The plurality of input members includes four smaller sized input members that are directional keys disposed along a portion of a bottom row of input members. At least two-and-a-half input members in a second row of input members directly above the bottom row occupy the same length of the housing as the smaller sized input members.
