Abstract: The invention is directed to a clothing article or apparel for identifying a post operative or recovering person, the clothing article or apparel having one or more signs capable of indicating to the general public that the patient is recovering from surgery, the one or more signs being visible from more than one side of the discharged patient. Typically, the clothing article or apparel is adapted to be worn outside clothing and the one or more signs are visible from several metres away. Preferably, the clothing article or apparel is padded or comprises retention means for padding.
