  • Patent number: 11674685
Abstract: A multi-circulation heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) for steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD)/Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) processes comprises a steam drum internally partitioned to provide a clean side and a dirty side. The clean side downcomer pipe supplies water to one or more generating banks as part of a clean circuit located in a high heat flux zone of the boiler. Boiler water is fed from the clean side of the drum to the dirty side of the drum via natural head differential. Water is then fed through a corresponding downcomer to a dirty generating bank, which is located in a low heat flux zone of the boiler.

  • Publication number: 20220034406
Abstract: The invention in provides an apparatus, system and method of monitoring a sealing device. The apparatus comprises an inlet configured to receive pressurised fluid from a seal activation fluid pressure source and an outlet configured to be connected to a sealing device to deliver pressurised fluid to a seal element of the sealing device to energise the sealing device in use. A fluid barrier is disposed between the inlet and the outlet and is operable to isolate the inlet from the outlet. A fluid chamber is defined between the fluid barrier and the outlet, and the apparatus comprises means for detecting a change in condition in the fluid chamber indicative of a change in volume of the seal element of the sealing device.

  • Publication number: 20200047189
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for removing ferrous particles from metal contaminated oil and gas process liquids or slurries and method of use. The magnetic separator apparatus comprises a vessel with an inlet and an outlet configured to allow the flow through of a liquid or slurry, or to hold a liquid or slurry inside. A plurality of magnetic rod devices is mounted upon at least one frame member secured to the vessel such that they extend into the interior of the vessel. Each magnetic rod device has a first condition in which it is operable to attract ferrous particles, and a second condition in which it is operable to dispose of ferrous particles. Embodiments of the invention provide a magnetic separator apparatus for removing ferrous particles from contaminated liquids and slurries which are stored in a storage facility.
